ESPN has a good on line article on all of this. Each team has its own balls. There will be a lot more to follow I'm sure.
I just saw that, where each team has their own balls to use on offense, although all the balls are inspected by the referee prior to the game.

The NFL should be more concerned about how the footballs are controlled during a game than they are about what color shoes a player can wear.

Maybe New England brought a gun to a knife fight ???
