If that's the same timspeed from the vegasmessageboard then I want to meet him too. Always has good vp info.

I just got an offer for Tahoe for the weekend of 3/28-3/29. My offer was a $150 visa gift card. Did anyone else get an offer for that same weekend? Anyone get a different gift card amount?

This is an interesting discussion we are having concerning ADT. I am just wondering if I played a 99% VP machine for 2500 tc's given MPD's calculation my ADT would basically be 250 which basically sucks. Now if Joe is correct in assuming that the casino uses a more generous "hold" due to players making mistakes that would make for a much higher ADT depending on of course how generous they are with this. If for instance they assign a hold value that lowers the percentage down to 97% to allow for mistakes that would raise the ADT in this example for the day to 750.
No, it wouldn't be that bad...I'm going to say, let's assume you play 100% video poker for that 2500TC (per day). On the 9/6 JoB triple-play machines next to the escalator in Harrahs, the theo is 2%, so your ADT would be
$25000 x 2% = $500
While you can expect to be "comped back" 33%, so $165 (per day, if you do that everyday).
And depending on your room there at LT, that can take out between $50-$100 per day ($50 for a low end regular room and $100 for a big suite)
Also, I would EXPECT that the limo ride probably takes out $50 each way; but because you're 7*, it still MAY be a "perk".

I've played 9/6 job throughout the casino.....5 plays in the high limit room......5 plays on the floor (near the escalator to the tunnel) and even a location near the back of the casino by the bar which isn't there anymore. All of these are in the 1% hold range based on the ADT I am given. Not sure if your 2% figure is accurate. Although you did mention 3 play machines, but I believe we are talking about the same machine since all 3 plays also have 5 plays.

I am talking about the same by the tunnel. Interesting note...
I know some 8/5 BP machines that have better hold (Avalanche Bar) but of course, 8/5 BP is also low EV than JoB

Funny how Mohegan Sun pulled out the 8/5 BP several years ago, but kept in and even added 9/6 job machines at the quarter and up level. I have a theory and that is you can only win on job if the Royals are coming in at least as much as they should. When in a Royal drought like I was last year, the losses on job are huge. I used to win quite often on 8/5 BP even with the slightly lower paytable because often times I would hit 2s,3,s,4,s or aces multiple quads fairly close together. That would get you up pretty good for the day even without the Royal. That is my take on it anyway. That is based on over 1 million job hands and about 300k BP hands.

I have to agree with you..without a Royal, on JoB, your going to lose often...the only saving grace on JoB is if you get a LOT of fullhouse's.
On BP, you can get quad 2-4, or quad Aces and it'll bring you back to life...
I took a whole year on 9/6 JoB and I have to say I LOST (Didn't hit a royal), so this year, I've went back to 8/5 BP.

But what if you play BP and you don't get either royals or 4oaks? Now that's a beating.

LOL, I agree..but on BP, usually every 400 hands you'll get a quad.

On average, there will be a quad in bonus poker every 420-425 hands or so.

But, to me, usually means most of the time, and to say you will usually hit a quad every 400 hands is not really right.
