It depressed me terribly to hear of the poor weather along the East Coast and elsewhere in the US. So much so that Saturday with temps in the high 70's I fired up my smoker and cooked up 4 racks of baby back ribs, a pork shoulder and a beautiful brisket.
As we dined on the patio Sunday, overlooking the lake, I wished I could have invited everyone over to enjoy Springtime in Arizona.

Come on CK, at least mention that you had a small bout of indigestion afterwards?

Da. when did all this snow and arctic temps start? The temperature nosedived right around New Years, and we had some preliminary snowfall and ice storms starting the last week of December.....but this severe stretch of horrible arctic winter started about a week before the AFC championship (January 10 or so) and has not stopped. It is ONLY the Northeastern portion of the USA that has had a severe winter....other parts of the country have been Unseasonably warm for MUCH of this winter....like DENVER!    While we here have subzero temps, Denver has been enjoying a Lonnnng stretch of 65-70 degree temps!!!!!!   Think about it.......DENVER!!!!Folks, climate change is a FACT, but I dispute the actual SEVERITY and IMPACT as well as the urgency......I do believe that the relentless pollution and releasing of pollutants by the MASSIVE industrialized world of the last 100 years is having impact on the earth (how can it NOT?)  I just question how truly URGENT the bad effects are making the situation....obviously at some point we will have to ALL curtail our polluting the earth.....remember, the last 100 years is a mere BLIP in the history of the earth so it is not surprising that the industrialized world since 1900 would impact the environment....there is no precedent or natural answer in the earth's history or composition to deal with industrialization (or careless selfish HUMAN behavior)....Everyone knows about the MASSIVE  CONTINENT in the middle of the PAcific Ocean that is comprised of PLASTIC Debris and other waste products, right????    I have not read the latest estimate of its size but this massive conglomeration of pollution and waste in the PAcific is one clear sign that mankind is ruining the earth......

I tried my first jalapeno cornbread a couple weeks ago, not bad. No prickly pear jelly though; I haven't had that in years. One of the things I miss about not being in Tucson.

Or could it be a Biblical Plague?
I'd believe that before I believed that Global Cooling, no Global Warming, no Climate Change is a FACT! Unless I had a whole lot of Carbon Credits for sale like my cousin Albert Gore.

right, so you believe that all the emissions, all the pollution and chemicals released into the environment, all the toxic waste dumps that are now officially off limits....that's all "NO BIG DEAL" huh?   Has NO effect whatsoever on anything huh?Do you even comprehend the damage that has already been done, the crap that has been released in the last 100 years???That "CONTINENT of GARBAGE" swirling around in the middle of the pacific where the currents all collide, that is just a figment of everyone's imagination huh?The worst thing about the selfishness of people 35 and older  today is that they, most likely will not have to deal with the full consequences of all their irresponsible behavior, like with the environment, and with the HUGE debt so many countries (not just the USA) have....

Oh learned one. Might I direct your attention to:

http://response.restoration.noaa.gov/ab ... -myth.html

I'm more concerned about my neighbors hooking up a garden hose and a bottle of weed killer to an unprotected outside faucet. Or folks flushing their old medications down the toilet where it eventually pollutes our ground water. Or some ass clown wanting to deny me my 2nd Amendment rights to protect my family and friends. Or limousine liberals who think nothing of laying down a carbon footprint bigger than your "CONTINENT of GARBAGE" and expecting the working folks to pay for it through higher taxes. Lastly, I'm concerned a whole bunch about what's not being done to eradicate ISIS.
With my limited education, that's about all I can COMPREHEND, before my brain explodes. Sorry.

Dabugler, Do you wake up everyday with your panties in a wad? take a few deep breaths and relax a little. If you want to dwell in negativity, that will be your lot in life. If you strive to find the positives, you will be amazed at how much happier you are.
