Re: The magic number seems to be 2010
In the long run, playing on the best possible (a.k.a. "full pay") pay tables will show its benefits over the lucky sessions you get with short pay tables. Should always play the best games for the sake of long term average, rather than the sake of luck on a poor machine.
Yes, I have been a victim to losing big on a great payable and winning big on a poor paytable.
I lost $150 (600 credits) on 50-10-6 DDB (100.07% ER) in less than an hour, worst play session ever. It was so bad I did not get a full house that would pay 50 credits instead of the usual 45, nor did I get much straights or flushes. I played using the 9-6 strategy (which I know very proficiently except for maybe a few Jack-10 suited over the Ace situation). I know the 10-6 strategy takes into consideration between King-Ten Suited and King-Ten-2thru8 3 card flush, but I do not think it was the biggest reason I had a bad session. It does not change my perspective of how good 10-6 DDB is of a game, I will not get to play it often is the bummer for me.
I used a $30 free play on 9-5 quarter TDB one time, with 10 credits remaining, I got dealt 222A9, I held the 222A, and got the last 2 to get 2000 credits. The only time I had guts to play TDB, but at 97% return. I knew its a 1 in 47 chance, but I never landed the 5th royal card everytime I was dealt 4 to a royal.

There are threads almost exactly like this one in the archives. My opinion is laid out there, but I'll repeat it.
When people start out at VP and do bad, many of them quit. Therefore, a higher percentage of the players that continue to play are those that were lucky.
Eventually, the luck turns and those players start doing poorly. They are doing nothing differently so they end up thinking it is the casino that has made a change.
I've heard comments about "the machines not paying like they used to" over and over again for years. You can always find a group that believe exactly that in any casino.
Meanwhile, there is always a group of new players starting the cycle over again.
As for myself. I've experienced good and bad streaks that have lasted months, even a year plus. However, the streaks always end.
Regarding Bold and Italics portion: Where is your proof of this? This is pure conjecture and opinion and proves nothing...I stated clearly that what I was writing was merely my opinion, but what is NOT opinion is that the majority of players here on this forum (and elsewhere) are saying the same thing, it is HARDER to win and premium hands and handpays are less and less frequent.....the likelihood of EVERYONE all being in a cooler at the same time is nil.I am criticizing your stating your opinion, unlike someone ALWAYS does to me, but what I am disputing is your stating something as vague and esoteric as what is in BOLD PROVES anything!

For the poster from the east coast it's the same old blah, blah, blah, capitalized...Followed by the same old blah blah blah from you pointlessly criticizing my blah blah blah.....It's called Hypocrisy Ted, look it up and see if they have a recent picture of you and your size 46 inch neck next to their definition .....

DaBurglar do you have the numbers to back up your claim that the majority of players here on this forum (and elsewhere) are saying the same thing as you? As you dispute shadowman, I dispute you.

DaBurglar you clearly state: here on this forum AND ELSEWHERE. Where are your stats on ELSEWHERE???I spoke to 6 people I know personally and they all confirm my statement as a .....get ready now......POINT OF FACT....that's "elsewhere".....I'd give you their names and numbers and allow you to contact them to confirm this, but given your nature and tendency to harass and make a total pest of yourself, I value their friendship too much.Plus, I have a looseleaf notebook and in it I recorded speaking to 23 people the last time I was in AC, and 19 of them said VP sucks since 2009.....give me your address and I will send a notarized copy.

DaBurglar you clearly state: here on this forum AND ELSEWHERE. Where are your stats on ELSEWHERE???Here's an idea......refute my statement with one of your own....show me MORE people who are winning (like you claim you are)..... seriously, refute my argument by showing the opposite is true.

DaBurglar I just spoke with 7 friends of mine who said the exact opposite of what you claim. Now please don't come back over the top because I seriously doubt you have 7 friends...
Based on the total number of video poker players in Atlantic City the sample numbers you provide are so minute that they cannot be considered as accurate. Try again.

In your book of psychiatric health, look into that, i am sure there is a condition that encapsulates what you suffer from.....
