Ahh if I could only put it into some fancy packaging; wrap it in plastic; and, hawk it online. That's it; you'll soon be seeing me on "Sharktank."
It had better be in clear plastic. Otherwise, DB will want to see what is inside of the package.

I believe Dancer's math last for decades of play, luck comes and goes for everyone.
People who play thousands of hands will need luck which is most of us, people who play millions of hands will need skill.
I play millions of hands. Thought I had some skill. Now I find I really need some luck too. Unfortunately, long term or long run can be infinity.

For some reason, the Golden Gate keeps sending us Free play of $100 a month, so we take advantage of that every time we are in Vegas, even though we have not risked our own money there is almost a year.
The Golden Gate has terrible pay tables now, but we will win on them anyway. Last trip, we took $50 of that free play on one machine, playing Double Bonus, and turned it into $475. It is just luck.
I don't have these results on free play at the M resort in Henderson, where they have decent pay tables.

I actually wouldn't mind reading a few more incredible luck stories myself if anyone cares to post them. Sure makes for some interesting reading. Meanwhile, we will keep pounding the keys ( lightly hopefully ) hoping luck will turn our way too.
A few months ago I posted here at VP.com about the local casino shutting all the machines down and re-programming or whatever it was they did. I said that since that time I had not been doing so well. I was locked in conspiracy theory mode from reading a lot of the negative stuff posted here. At the time, I was basically chasing different games frequently. You see, I am basically a newer player, only a couple years playing. I have since finally settled down and only play one game now . Things have gotten much better for me. I feel great when I walk into the casino to play, very confident in my ability. I practiced a LOT at home to become proficient. A couple weeks ago I hit 2 Royals within an hour. Was I lucky ? I didn't think so. I was very happy, the math caught up to me. I do not rely on luck when it comes to ME playing VP. I just realized that there are winning and losing streaks. One other thing I want to say. I think we are all very fortunate to have Bob Dancer participate here. The guy never has anything negative to say, and many of his posts are interpreted by me to be pep talks. Very positive attitude the man has. I have printed out some of what I consider are his best and keep them in one of the books I have of his. Whenever things aren't going so well for me, I look at them and my attitude changes quickly. The man has been around the block a time or 2 with his professional gambling and media career, and I have great confidence believing him when he shares his anecdotes.

It's luck. Some years ago I hit back to back Royals at the old Treasure Bay in Biloxi. It was pure luck, not skill. Speaking of luck, Treasure Bay had none during Katrina and it wound up on its side, 100 yards inland from its starting point....and more than slightly damaged.

Semantics, that is all this discussion is, about semantics......"LUCK", "CHANCE", "TIMING" all mean the same with regards Video Poker and hitting royals and the like......Playing "Smart", knowing HOW to play correctly, "Advantage play the Bob Dancer way", also encompass the same basic principle(s), and by playing "smart" and making one's bankroll LAST as long as mathematically possible a player gives him/herself the maximum chance(s) to catch "luck", or in other words to "HIT" a royal, etc.Luck does not trump (or "donald") playing smart, nor is playing "Smart" (or the Bob Dancer way) "BETTER" than being LUCKY.......the game is the game, the math immutable and unforgiving, and the "Art" of catching big hits is total hogwash (there is no "Art" or skill to actually hitting things like royals and the like....although I am willing to concede that specific players who make "CLAIMS" regarding outlandish winnings, return percentages in excess of 80% or the frequency of "hits" are in fact a type of "ARTIST" )Bob Dancer is a "pro"......someone who insists they consistently win large sums of cash playing video poker to the tune of 80% (or 4 out of 5 sessions) is a "con" The sad reality is, for every true blue bonafide "positive or profitable player" there are several (or more) players who are losing at today's video poker games: this is an absolute irrefutable .....POINT.....OF.....FACT....~ How do I know? Simple, the fact that the GAMES still exist on casino floors today PROVE that the casinos make a significant profit with them.......if it were not so, the games would be GONE in a flash
