I went to Barona Indian Casino many years ago before they expanded. First machine I played was a dollar wheel of fortune. Third spin I hit the spin and won $1000. Five spins later I won another $1000. Next I went to a $5 5 times pay machine. Built it up to about $800 and then hit a $2250 jackpot. Then I went to a quarter triple play poker machine and cashed out with about $400 and played the one next to it and cashed out with $350. Played some more and lost some. So I came with $300 and left with $5000. Best day ever!!

After that third spin, I'd order a beverage and relax on as comfortable a chair as possible, if not hit the beach altogether. I'm not one to tempt fate after a four digit hit! Hard to understand, but fortune does favor the bold.

Congratulations on your good fortune. Tough to beat the house at an Indian casino let alone any casino. Played a few times at Barona and never did any good. I had better luck at Pauma and Valley View.

amazing run of fortune.........I remember Barona when it was first starting out......in fact, when I first moved to Los Angeles in 1992, after graduating from Harvard University, and began my career as the Marketing Coordinator for the largest Industrial and COnsumer Packaging Distributor on the west coast, there were several "Indian Casinos" that were either in the works and just starting to come on line throughout Southern and Central California.....Pechanga, Morongo, Barona, and a few others I think.......of course, at the time, being young, naive, yet full of energy and adventure, my only concern and focus (outside of my new job and career) was LAS VEGAS, at least when it came to gambling and playing.......It was not until 1995 or 1996 that I FINALLY  actually played in one of those local "*****" properties (Pechanga I think was the one I finally went to.....or maybe it was Morongo...???   I dunno.....)      But rest assured, when it came time to play at these little spots in the middle of the California Desert, I won NOTHING, nor did I see anyone else win a stinkin' thing.     I actually believe that, IF there ever was a time and place whereby actual casinos could have been 'RIGGED" to flat out "gyp" the average player, it could have been early on in the 1990s in SO Cal

Notice none of it was really VP his wins came from the slots. But hey if you break even in VB you are a winner these days for sure.
