Double Super Times Play

Post by Tjanoski »

I have a question about this statement on the Wizard of Odds website.

There is an exception to the above rule for dealt royals. On a dealt royal, the probability of a multiplier on the deal is still 1 in 15, but if won, it is always 20, and there would be no opportunity for another multiplier on the draw. If the player does not win the 20x multiplier on the deal, then he gets a second chance at draw multiplier with a 1 in 15 chance, and average multiplier of 4.01.

Does this mean that if you ever see a 20X multiplier prior to cards being dealt or during the deal you will allways get a dealt royal or does it mean if you hit the multiplier and are deal a royal it will be a 10X multiplier, you hold the cards, then hit deal and automatically another 10X will happen, thus totally 20x
So if you are playing 5 hands, $.25 $1000 for royal you would earn $100K.

Second question is has anyone ever seen this 20X.

You can hit 20x with any dealt hand, but it is unlikely.  It requires you to get both deal 10x and draw 10x multipliers, which only occurs one time in 562,500 on average when not dealt a royal flush.  This is only 15.5% more likely than getting a dealt royal.I think Vman has posted that he received a 20x without much if any of a payout.  I have received a 20x once while playing 5-play Bonus Deuces Wild.  My best hold for that hand was a lowly QT suited.  I had a modest payout of 300, which is not bad for the hold, hitting a straight, 2 trips, and 2 bricks; however, it was not what one dreams about!  And I have never had a dealt royal in a casino. When hitting a dealt royal, you cannot tell whether the multiplier that is flashing is a deal or draw multiplier.  It will appear to be 2x thru 10x at first.  If it becomes 20x, it was a deal multiplier; if not, it was a draw multiplier.  If you have a multiplier in this case, it is more likely to have been a deal multiplier than a draw multiplier, 51.7% to 48.3%.  This is due to the fact that there is that 1 in 225 chance that you get both, but there is no way for you to know whether or not you would have received the draw multiplier if you already hit the deal multiplier.  So, slightly more than half the multipliers on dealt royals are of the 20x variety. You can see the 20x for yourself with a little persistence at this site by playing DSTP in training mode and continuously picking a royal flush to be dealt.  Hopefully, you will not have an unlucky spell.  More than half the time, you will see the 20x within 11 tries; more than 3/4ths of the time, it will occur withing 21 tries.  But there are no guarantees.  10% of the time, you will need more than 33 tries and 1% of the time more than 66.Sorry, training mode might be one of those things that Gold members have access to.  I'm not recalling whether that is true at the moment.

I thought it would drag the process out...give a deal multiplier of 10X, show the dealt royal, and then give a draw multiplier of 10X. Guess not.

And yes, I've got 20X in normal play before with little payoff in the casino. Twice actually.

Still confused. Lets say the deal multiplier hits. Rolls thru the numbers. Will it ever display 20x? ie, in the dealt royal situation or will it show 10x, royal dealt, save all, hit deal, then automatically another 10x?

This is specific to dealt royals, I also have had 10x, draw, 10x in live play (in a non-dealt royal situation)

Yes, the only time you should see a 20x on the deal would be a dealt royal with a deal multiplier triggering the bonus (since all cards are held automatically). Any other 20x would first be 10x, then again 10x on the draw, combining for 20x at the conclusion.

Got it. Hope to see a 20X prior to the or during the deal in the future and would love to see a picture if this ever happens to anyone.

Speak of the devil! Someone hit it on the weekly. Too bad it's play money, but they'll still probably be in for a gift card.
