Re: Makes you want to scream!
Great story, LL! There just is no explanation for days like that. I am speechless.

Yes, great story Double L. I would have been less apt to give them something if they asked for something first.

Kfed - when I started reading your post I said omg - that was me! - But it wasn't - I was at Ameristar this weekend - squeezed into a middle seat to play some triple up ddb (my fav) I usually don't sit in the middle - only and end or where there is an extra seat - just like my space... anyway - not sure If I wanted to stay there - I threw in a couple of twenties to get a feel for the machine - 3 hands in and I was dealt 4's with a kicker - got dirty looks on both sides - played one more hand - cashed out and left... this has never happened to me before - felt guilty - well a little - until I cashed in the ticket... For the record - when I leave a machine a loser - I leave the area - I never want to see someone cash out my money... just saying...

Reading these stories reminds me of my "the one that got away" story. It was 1991, I was 21 and driving from California to Las Vegas. I stopped at a casino on the border for lunch. After eating I decided to buy one $5 token ( this was back when machines did not accept bills and you had to get tokens) and take a shot at a slot machine. There were two Black Gold slot machines together at the end of a row. I picked one, inserted the token and hit any bars for a 5 to 1 payout. I played 4 of the tokens back and won nothing. I decided to play the last token in the other machine and won nothing. A man walked up to the original machine, inserted a token and lined up 3 Black Gold symbols on the first pull. $5,000! I literally felt nauseous.

Most people will refuse to believe how slots work.
The gambling experts from the American Casino Guide says a Random Number Generator is constantly running on the background, the moment the spin button or the lever is pulled it will have the results determine on the spot. The spinning motion is all for excitement.
It would mean for you to win, you would have to hit the spin button at the exact micro or millisecond as the person who played after you. The results of the slot machine does not go sequentially planned.
People still walk away with if I had played a little longer or if I played that machine regret.

notes I will not, ever; give a portion of my winnings to a person who comes up to me after I hit, complaining that they just left the machine. I don't moan and complain if someone hits on a machine that I just left because I know the roles can be reversed. Several years ago I jumped onto the machine next to me after a guy left it and within minutes I hit a 1k royal. He came back up to me saying that the royal should have been his and I told him not to hover watching me play the machine. If he was angling for a "toke" from me, he has been waiting 8 years now.Notes1 detailed a bit of personal, undeserved, totally no strings attached generosity that he himself practices, for no other reason than he feels like it.....then along comes this callous bombastic and totally vacant post informing the world that Tedlark NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER gives anyone a piece (not one penny) of the thousands of dollars he (allegedly) wins 80% of the time gambling in casinos (i.e. pushing a button after ....."risking".....some money.)Why oh why Ted did you feel it even remotely necessary to follow up notes1's post with this testimony to your total A-hole-ish-ness? You are PROUD of this stingy BS? Think it makes you look so Bad arse? Guess again, on all counts.....I will not even get into the "Don't hover watching me play" nonsense.......
