Re: Harrahs AC Minimum Bet
I am sure CET is glad to hear some positive comments about their properties. We have basically avoided CET for a few years due to bad experiences with hotel rooms and a number of negative encounters with staff. Ironically, all things being equal, VP and bingo were never deterrents.

I am used to seeing primarily quarter denomination as the lowest so betting $1.25 is needed to get the full royal payout. As long as the 20 coin nickel that rounds to $1 even pays out the full amount for a royal flush, I would be satisified.
Now it seems that the trend has extended to VP. It was for slots where you are forced to play all the lines for a game rather than a select amount.
I just think they are doing this so that on a crowded day, people would not take up a seat for a longer time by betting low amount at a time but rather make a significant bet.

.that's the rub, on the 5 cent games with the tiny label telling you that you must bet at least 1 dollar, the MAX royal payout (800 to 1)was NOT made until the player bet the full 50 credits ($2.50) which was the MAX setting on the games at Harrahs! Betting the required, minimum 20 credits yielded the typical less-than-max payout for a royal.Bollocks......

If the 800 to 1 payout was available to those playing less than max coin then why play max coin at all?

I know this won't solve any CET issues, but for those who are in a low budget mood, drop in to Mohegan Sun and head over to the area just before the entrance to the Hall of Lost Tribes. On your right you will see lots of vp. In there is a small bank of nickel vp machines which still pays 800 for just a nickel bet if the Royal Hits. You must select the spin poker game. Of course you are welcome to play just the center line. Paytables as expected are in the 96-97% range. I still know of no other casino in the country offering this option. I play these when I am busted and not quite ready to go home yet. Of course that is also when I hit my last Royal a few months ago for a whopping 40 bucks. The dinner the wife and I had though at our favorite Italian Restaurant on that 40 bucks was the best.

Thanks for the clarification about the 20 credit minimum bet offering less-than-max royal payout. That is very misleading and first time I've heard such a thing. It should have been a 50 cent denomination machine where people can bet the usual five credits ($2.50) to get the full royal payout, then again Harrahs will not let people bet just 1 credit since that would be 50 cents rather than a dollar (2 credits)/ Um, isn't that how every

I've never been to Mohegan Sun or Foxwoods, but I've seen screenshots where they have ganes where you bet 1 to 10 or 1 to 25 credits. If you bet at least 5 credits (not the max), you will get the full royal payout.

I was responding to ALPAX's comment, which you need to consider and incorporate when reading my post above that you pointlessly decided to stick your nose into......alpax posits that if making a 20 credit bet results in receiving a MAX coin ratio payout, then who cares. I point out to him that such is not the case......and if you could have waited just a little longer before jumping all over what you thought was yet another chance to harrass me, you could have seen alpax himself point out the completely "pointless" nature of your post......Is it even possible for you to scroll past even ONE of my posts without interjecting some pointless piece of idiocy? Seriously......

There are just a handful of the nickel machines at Mohegan Sun that pay the 800 for 1 and only on the spin poker game. However, as far as I know, all of the vp machines there pay the correct 800 amount if you play 5 or more credits and the correct progression continues all the way up to the max bet level. One thing to watch for on Joker Kings. Hitting a Royal with 5 quarters in will result in a W-2Gk due to the extra amount they pay for the Royal on that game. You have to watch their competitor, Foxwoods down the road. Some of the machines there require 10 to be bet to get paid the correct amount on some of the vp games.

Believe it or not DaBurglar but I manage to ignore quite a bit of what you say... Did I hear the Commisioner of the NHL call the Blackhawks a DYNASTY last night? Funny I didn't hear the Commisioner of the NFL making the same statement about the New England Deflatriots...
