Old Machines in Biloxi
I will be in Biloxi this weekend and was wondering if any of the casinos still have the old style VP machines. Last time I was at the Grand all they had were the new style machines and I didn't stay long enough to venture out to the other casinos.
Anyone know if any of the casinos down there have any of the old style at the $1 level. Preferably a progressive?

IP has some old style machines, but not progressives. Stand out in front of the High Limit area and look to the north. There is a large area to the left of the mens restroom that is mostly slots. However, on the far right-hand wall closest to the mens restroom there are a few old style VP machines. These are $1 $5 and $10 if memory serves.
Now, do you know of any Dreamcard or Ultimate X at high limit with decent paytables in Biloxi or anywhere on the coast?

Never been to Biloxi, but the phrases "decent paytable" and "Ultimate X" don't really go together.
The only place outside of Vegas that I've seen "full pay" ultimate X is Horseshoe Hammond, but you are punished in the tier credit department by playing it ($50 a point). Also only jacks, bonus, and deuces are full pay. DDB is 9/5.
There is 9/5 DDB with ultimate X at Hollywood STL as well.

Well ended up at Harrahs Gulf Coast. Played Sat. and Sun. about 9,200 hands total according to my players card. Got 3 or 4 rag quads one of which was dealt and that is it.
Nobody was winning the entire time I was there. I would walk around and look at credits on other peoples machines just for fun (aka try to find a machine that maybe paying). And everyone was loosing.
On the bank of progressives in front of the cage a lady did manage to get dealt 22224 on TDB for $2k. I hovered around to get on that machine... well she put it all back in and never got another quad plus a few hundred more and finally left. I got sucked into the same mistake thinking it had to give something after all that. Nope here $2500 + my $800 = 0 quads
I'm learning the hard way to not play there anymore.
