Bob Dancer's website seems updated
It has probably been a few days but I noticed the layout of Bob Dancer's website has changed up to use a WordPress template. The front page promotes Video Poker for Winners software and the content is still there.

He's gone to what is called a "relational" website format. This format allows the website to adjust to the size of the screen. It's used because of the popularity of smart phones and tablets. As a web developer, I hate it because it makes all the websites look the same. Ahh progress...

I have not been reading Bob's weekly articles so I was doing some catch up until I noticed this.
The "relational" website format is probably the reason Wordpress templates are becoming popular to produce websites, I see it as a benefit to the site visitors as myself. But I am not sure on the webmaster side of things.

I don't want to get into web design on this forum because it will bore the heck out of everyone. When you create a website that can expand and contract to that extent, you remove all the creativity and the result is the "screen full of boxes" look. Anyone can build one of these websites from a template with very little actual talent. It doesn't have any bearing on the content, but it takes away all the art and design options. If someone wants to talk about web design, they can email me. Back to Video Poker....

What I want from a website is content and lots of it. As long as the design isn't glaring or chaotic it's OK by me. What I dislike about the "mobile first, last and only" trend in website design is you tend to see at most 4-6 actual content items on first look and have to scroll around to find more. It may date me but to me trying to access the Internet with your phone is like trying to make a phone call with your toaster. Next it'll probably be "watch first" design; the Internet gods only know what that will look like on a laptop...

Mr. Dancer is teaching classes again at the South Point starting in September. (I realized he also posted on the hijacked thread "accuracy")

9/7 Double Bonus has taken the place of 9/7 Triple Double Bonus. 9-4-4-3 Deuces Bonus cracked the lineup.
I would have preferred 9/5 Super Double Bonus over 9/7 Double Bonus, but I totally understand the 9/7 DB is available in more places than SDB and a 7 for 1 flush game is more interesting topic to talk about since the play styles are different.
