Don't want to bust any bubbles here, but I don't find it unusual to go 5 hours at 500 hands an hour on job and never get a quad. My record is 8 hours without one. On the other hand, some of those quadless sessions have had full houses real close together making up for most of the quadless play. Not long ago, I had 3 back to back full houses on 9/6 job. You just never know what will happen with vp.

Wildman must have done cartwheels in the parking lot after those two incredible days generated three dozen quads! The problem w full houses on quadless days is I get so depressed that I go into min bet mode and cannot come close to recouping. You can't suddenly go cheap cold turkey and hope to salvage a session. You must go cheap from the outset.

Personally, I would never play JB at anything less than max coins.  So much of the money and excitement  is tied up in the Royal that I would shoot myself if I got one at one coin.  If I has going to play short coin on any non wild card game, it would be DDB because it has so many no penalty jackpots. The thing that makes DW playable with Cheap Strategy is the relatively low variance coupled with the quad deuce mini jackpot.  By the way,  I once played DDB at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi for two whole days without a quad of any kind.   The whole time I kept telling myself that I was "owed" a quad.  No wonder they kept inviting me back...

Full House JOB at one coin nothing to write home about either! Fed up when this happens. The DW mini jackpots must really keep things exciting. Lucky enough to be dealt a Wild Royal to bail me out of session two red ink. So many hands I had something cooking. It was swell. Now I must overcome my conservative instincts and play DW the entire visit tmrw. The problem with max coin JOB is that I still bust.

Because single coin $5 pays better than max coin $1s.  Makes no sense.  Don't no why.  Haven't a clue.  Nothing.  It just does...  Anyone who hasn't discovered this has not tried it for very long.  I have and it does...sorry.

I have to agree with Phil, No matter what level I play at the short coin 4 of a kinds hit not only for me but people around me. Today I went with a buddy, we have lunch, have a drink, shoot the breeze. I played max nickels 9/6 JOB for 4 hours with 2 four of a kinds. On max bet there seems to be some weird dealings that like Phil hard to understand. The hands don't come in. I stick to what is working, max betting kills the bank roll these days.

What bank roll are you using? You probably play at twice my speed. Still, 2.5 quads an hour is stunning! If I play .25 bankroll of $200, if .50 bankroll of $400, I do play about 700-800 hands and hour, put in my ear phones with some music and I am in another world for hours at a time.

For bankroll of 9/6 Jacks or Better,

I recommend 20% Royal Flush payout for 1000 hands for 1.28% risk of ruin (about 1 in 80 times)

I recommend 35% Royal Flush payout for 2500 hands for 1.28% risk of ruin (about 1 in 80 times)

I recommend 50% Royal Flush payout for 5000 hands for 2.47% risk of ruin (about 1 in 40 times)

I normally do the middle on my play days.

Tx, Wild and Alpax. I'm a thousand hand player so $200 or even $150 is plenty. On dollars I could book triple digit loss, most if not all my roll. Finally faced the facts!
