Re: differnce between a VP pro and other pros
if i understand correctly this notion that one can beat the casinos, it is through a combination of actual play winnings and the 'extras'. if this is accurate, no one 'stays under the radar' at a casino. their tracking of player activities rivals the NSA. if you don't believe that is true, just go to the casino, use your free play only and leave. they will cut you off quick. you cannot get the extras without a players card, and i have never been able to get one without valid id. so, unless one has multiple id's, the casinos know who you are, thus flying under the radar is darn near impossible. their tracking of players will easily point out anyone who is regularly winnning money from them, so cutting them off is a simple matter. i am sure they have computer programs that flag anyhing they are looking for.

Most comp systems to my knowledge don't analyze every hand you play for accuracy. If you play near perfect and maximize comps, you can eek out a small profit while the computer still thinks you are a slight loser instead. It really depends on how sensitive to detail the player's club is. Stations is well-known for cutting people off quick for example.
I got cut off at Hollywood STL this summer possibly because I was utilizing more comps than the amount of theoretical loss I was generating. But I've been doing it for almost 2 years on and off. And one trip without touching a comp and a theoretical loss of about $10 might get the offers starting up again. I'm not sure though. I'm fairly sure the machines I play though are set generously for comps given the paytable.

i would doubt a casinos system would be set up to analyze anyone's play per hand. i would guess their tracking systems are looking at a whole host of items. among them would be whether a player is giving them adequate play for extras received and if a player is beating them. i have seen the pictures you post of your trips and i doubt they are really worried about players at our level beating them into submission. but, i do believe they would be tracking the play of someone playing at a high bet level that could impact their botton line. on an earlier post you reference under the radar as a key to an advantage player beating the casino, but you are under the assumption that a particular casino cut you off for taking advantage of their sytem for just a couple of bucks. if someone at your level cannot operate under the radar, how would you expect someone betting $100-500 a hand could do so?

I serve the lord and I am not a politically correct person, I deal with the facts and truth and it has severed me well.
