I've used variations of this quote in my writings over the years.With certain slots, however, Einstein would have the edge --- were he still alive and willing to apply his intelligence in this direction."Must Hit By" slots take skill in figuring out when they are a positive play.As do slot progressives.As does figuring out some promotions --- such as 10x points + drawing tickets + comps. At some casinos, the extra drawing tickets awarded slots over video poker add quite a bit in EV.When I first used the quote, I wasn't thinking of any of these special problems where having a mind for numbers definitely helps. At that time, I couldn't conceive of a time when I would ever play slots.Today, however, I do play slots sometimes when I believe I have the edge.
