I think Mr. Dancer is referring to the post where you stated where you
are getting tired of being the messenger for the CS, and expects to live
up to it.
Actually, this comment was made on the Recreational Forum not the Strategy Forum.  I asked that the Recreational Forum be created so we wouldn't get into these types of back and forth wars of words.  Previous to that anyone who disagreed was bullied off the forum.  I don't know how this escalated to a crazy level, but it's over as far as I'm concerned.  Mr. Dancer and I agree to disagree and that's all I have to say about it.   If he wants to send over another volley I can't stop him.  I am offering to smoke the peace pipe, I only wish it were in Colorado.

Nice to get that historical nugget. Well, good intentions, anyway. We are experiencing forum gentrification!

The only 'gripe', if you can call it that, that I have about your CS is that it really isn't gambling, as I know it. If you want to just play the games for fun, without the chance of earning a sizeable payout or some nice comps from a casino, then just play VP on a site like this. But, when I have a chance to visit a casino, I would like my efforts to have the opportunity to pay off. I know the casino has the edge in the game, but earning comps to help offset that edge, and STILL having the chance of a nice payout if I hit, is the reason I would venture in there in the first place.

I am loving CS and am up for the year. I have to say I do hate it when a good hand comes up and I'm on the one coin bet, but it's oh so fun when you hit and your maxed out!   We play in Louisiana where nothing is very good.
This is the major misunderstanding most critics have of CS. They don't realize how truly terrible the video poker odds and comps are outside of Nevada or the high limit room.  The only way to have any chance of winning one of these games long term is to limit your loses to bare minimum and hope for lucky max coin jackpots.  Flat betting max coins on a 95% video poker game is guaranteed to cost you more money than CS over time.  If everyone had 100% games or comps that could make up the difference, CS would have absolutely no value. Sadly, that's not the case.

There are some places that have decent odds for quarter players. The MidWest is probably a close second to Nevada in terms of video poker quality.

Do I simmer on one coin and curse my decision if I quad or better? Do I max coin and bemoan a crappy hand and max loss? Phil has a very specific method of bet augmentation, and on DW a quad deuce is not as rare as it seems. You won't be catching much lightning in Louisiana!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------My usual addendum here. Don't even max bet on 99.5% games. Yes, you will give up 2% of that once a year when that RF invariably deigns to appear. But the interim losses will have wiped that out by then, if one is fortunate.

From what I read on VPFree2, it doesn't look like Colorado isn't too bad either, particularly with NSUD. Most of the Midwest doesn't offer NSUD. Assuming some of the listings are still accurate in Colorado. Some places are fairly dated in terms of listings.
