I would be more aware of the paytables before playing when NSU Deuces is widely available in Reno, but nice hit regardless!
For non-DW games, that hold is the correct play.

Problem was...he was at Harrah's. No way they have NSUD. Even though Cromwell has it now...we'll see how long that lasts.

My bad, I missed that detail on the original post. Without a doubt Caesar's properties is against offering good Deuces Wild games for the most part (Harrah's New Orleans and Cherokee are the other places with NSUD).
A reasonable player would play the $1 Jacks or Better instead as I heard it is one of the best places to advance in status.
A reasonable player would play the $1 Jacks or Better instead as I heard it is one of the best places to advance in status.
Actually, I played BP at Harrahs the night before this royal as it was the best quarter game at Harrahs. After I hit two sets of quad deuces for $50 each instead of $250 each (ouch!), I switched back to deuces. Math is not always right.

The optimal play is to throw all five cards away. That's two suboptimally held royals I've seem on the net in a row. But sometimes it pays off big!--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Oh yes, of course. I was blinded by the astonishing luck! Scared money can't win big money as they say.
