I just had my first Multiline experience ever. 8/5 JOB. I'd normally shun this like the plague. But, I really wanted to try a brand new VP lounge at Tropicana and was willing to part with $40. It lasted almost two hours, playing mostly two lines. This was about what I expected from the funds and odds. It was a real culture shock to see all the cards spinning in front of me. Quite an intoxicating and addictive thrill. Luckily, the casino is too inconvenient to bother patronizing on a regular basis. I am definitely a single line player. I like the serene simplicity and lower investment per spin. If I had hit a quad or higher, I might have a different opinion. Basically, inflows and outflows are two to three times faster than normal. Had I got a sweet premium hand, I would have cashed out of the chaos.

The screen displays three lines, so I am confused. Can you elaborate on the difference?

At the start of the deal, you are presented with a screen showing the total number of multiline hands you are playing. In 5 line, for example, the "base hand" is at the bottom, and the other 4 are arranged in 2 columns of 2 each on the screen.

When you press deal, the same hand is dealt to all five spots. When you select the cards to hold in the base hand, the selection is repeated in the other 4. You then draw. Each of the five draws is independent of the others, so it is like being dealt and drawing to the same hand five times in a row. The hands simply fill in, independently. There is no spinning.

I think I get it. Multiline definitely sounds more structured and systematic. I would much prefer that process. The spinning was a fun break I guess. Most VP players are probably turned off by spin. We shun the slots like the plague, after all.

FAA: with spin. it's not just how many hands you play, but also how many lines. Max play on spin poker with TDB can produce a fairly hefty winner, depending on denom.

     Gave it a shot and all I can say is I'm glad I was playing nickels. About 4,000 hands if it were single line play, but I alternated between 3 and 5 lines so I really played about 15,000 hands. Unfortunately, not only no Royals, but no deuces quads either. I did play the bank of 800 for 1 nickel bet machines and many of my bets were at that level. Still out over a hundred for the session. Imagine if it were quarters or even dollars. Yikes.....
