Royal on the draw

Post by mvpax »

Hit for 32000 in the MGM high limit room on a Spin poker machine. Only had 40 in the machine and got the Royal on the draw. Machine locked up and started flashing I'd won. Husband leans over and says 3200 is that all you get for that? I said, no, add a zero.....

Major congratulations. How much did you start off with in the machine? I would be curious to know. No good came of my two hour lifetime spin poker experience. But the screen action is very entertaining. I would probably become addicted.

DaBurglar, I have hit 20K numerous times. If it is in Vegas there is no withholding unless you request it. If it is in a state with an income tax, they have to withhold the state tax. Only federal if you request it. I always write off the losses against the win so my only tax consideration for federal is increased income. I always just get a check so there is no security problem. Sometimes if I am short of cash I might say give me 18K in check and the rest in cash. If you play high limit in Vegas a lot it is nice if your home bank also has a branch in Vegas. Mine does, but it is a large nation-wide bank.

Congrats on the incredible win! I think you meant to say a Royal Flush on the "deal" as you cannot get duplicate cards without holding your initial cards. If you only had 40 dollars you could only play 8 lines at maximum bet $1 denomination instead of 9, with each Royal Flush worth 4k, that is the only way to end up with your value. Cannot complain with having a $32,000 windfall.

Please take no offense to this, normally I can tell if a forum poster is masculine or feminine, but based on the past posts about the Bellagio HLR I could not tell you were feminine until this post.

I had a similar situation occur at the cosmo in vegas a couple of months ago. I was staying at green acres (valley) and had a two thousand dollar marker I was going to pay but I had 400 that I had won in the strike pot at the bowling alley the night before. So on my second play on triple hand dollars with the dice multiplier I was dealt two cards to royal with a 8 times multiplier and caught one royal for 32 k
