DB, My point is you seem to have an opinion of who I am without knowing me at all. I think Ted made that point some time ago as well. Whatever happened to "a person should be judged on the content of his character, not the color of his skin". I do agree with your last sentence though. The lilly white thing was just to get a rise out of you . I apologize, I'm a garden variety white person too.?????   Um, well yeah.....doesnt everyone here have an   OPINION  about  everyone else here, more or less, or to some extent?   Based of course simply on what gets said and posted and revealed here, UNTIL one of us finally meets the other some where......But even still, I do not believe I said or implied anything about YOU that was better or worse than what was said about ME.......everything I did say about YOU was based or derived from what YOU divulged about yourself in the prior post(s)........BUT, if you need to hear this then fine:  I have NO real clue about who or what you REALLY are, in any DEEP level of understanding or accuracy.       But then again, WHO REALLY knows WHO these days?????   When you think you know someone, BAM!    they do or say something that blows you away (hopefully not literally!)

DaBurglar two notes (no not YOU notes) about your post:


First, if you scored higher than your Asian-American classmates on the SAT math (1985 version), how did these same Asian-American students raise YOUR test score and you neglected to mention if any other minority students scored higher than you?
Oh for flips sake......you seriously cannot fathom the point I made?    when I said they raised "OUR" test score average I meant of course the WHOLE school of which I was obviously a part......otherwise, MY own personal score would have stuck out even further or more starkly than it otherwise would have, but the fact was these kids from Vietnam (mostly) and Cambodia, either boat kids themselves or the first generation born of the boat people who came during the 1970s after the fall of Indochina to the reds, were EXCEPTIONALLY advanced compared to the rest of us "lilly white" kids as a group, even though they came from supposedly "Third world" backgrounds and upbringing.     My point was not to focus on SAT scores, but to highlight the very SUBTLE and pervasive forms that Racism and prejudice can take, even under innocuous or unintentional circumstances.


Second, your last sentence is somewhat right but not complete. Sure a person does not get to choose their birth right but a person is very able to change the circumstances and specifics of their life. ESPECIALLY in this country.Ideally that is what we hope for and want to be the reality, that in the USA a individual can be the master of his own destiny and attain ALL that he/she is capable (to the best of one's abilities.)     Also, in the USA, a person is supposed to be as FREE to choose and be whatever he/she/it wants to be, and attain as much or as little success as they want.But for you to say my last sentence is "not complete" is nitpicking.....you and I (and everyone else here) know that despite the "IDEALS" of  THIS COUNTRY,  it is NOT an absolute truth or guarantee that EVERY person can change their circumstances and specifics in life to the extent or manner that everyone else can....not everyone is "VERY ABLE" (your words) to do this, for a whole slew of reasons and circumstances too broad to talk about here......And this is nothing unique or profound to the USA.....it's called  LIFE.    Life is NOT fair, LIFE is NOT equal, life is not guaranteed (any part of it....)  Not in this country or anywhere else......I will simply say that in the USA, a person has as GOOD a chance as anywhere else in the world to shape their destiny.

Oh, uh wait a sec.......     Better clarify something(s)......When you tacked on "in a friendly way of course".....to what exactly were you referring?   Did you mean that you will say "hello"  in a friendly way, or did you mean that you will have our paths CROSS "in a friendly way"?    This is an important distinction......I mean, as I am whizzing along thru the casino(s) of AC, like Borgata,  my "PATH" , such as it is, can be crossed in a number of different ways and not all of them in a friendly manner!    A person could, if he was so inclined, kick a trash receptacle into the path of my onrushing wheelchair which is propelled by my formidable arms, meaning I cannot exactly stop on a dime, so a huge crash is likely.   OR, worse yet, some nefarious, mean spirited, and spiteful person, who has been irrationally incensed to "get me", could conceivably push a little old lady casino patron, into the path of my oncoming "chariot of fire"  and there would be nothing I could do to prevent the ensuing carnage except scream!    Forget it, everyone stay home!

You're right forget it.lol   that was about as unserious as I can be, satirizing the ongoing soap opera here as it pertains to myself, et al....please feel free to approach me at your leisure if and when you see me........at this juncture, My next AC presence will take place probably MArch 6 thru 11, and then March 28 thru April 4 or 5..........sandwiched somewhere in betwixt those two date ranges will be a probable Vegas/Reno jaunt, around March15 or so for 5 or 6 days....still working out the details there as I will be meeting up with many former co-workers and friends from yesteryear when I lived and worked out there, and I will definitely want to get in some early picks in the MARCH MADNESS "madness" which will be percolating right about that time......I've been so "blocked" by my AC travails, and so preoccupied by VEGAS and all its gaudiness, that I forget all about the wonderful experience that RENO offers compared to both of them.......in fact if I could have whatever I wanted and the choice to live in a gaming destination, Reno would be it......its charm is unique, and it offers both gaming excitement but also relative peace and tranquility for those seeking it.    If I spend more than a day in and around Reno I will be staying at the Harrahs there or the Golden Nugget......
