Coushatta 2/20/16
A quick trip to Coushatta to help Sweet C reach her VIP level for this six months. Our favorite 50/100 play machines were gone and replaced with new 50/100 regular and STP games but with minimum hands. (See Entry - Favorite Casino). I'm trying to train myself to play more Spin so I tried that first with no luck. But, I was able to convince a slot tech to activate the "speed" control option on the remaining 3 All-Star machines while I banged away. He responded first to a sticky button issue and then got shanghaied into working on the speed button option. Sweet C wasn't hitting either so we headed back to the new machines. I was down to half my bankroll. I played around playing for fun on 2¢ STP and 100 play hitting several RF and having a fun time switching between games and denoms. I eventually hit enough good hands on 2¢ & 5¢ to rebuild to a couple hundred $ over my original amount.
Now comes the stupidity. About this time a favorite slot attendant came by and asked how I was doing. I began to show her my concerns of the new minimum. As we talk I play a few hand to keep my machine going. Looking over I realized I have not returned to my 5¢ denomination but have been playing the minimum $25/ quarter VP. So much for being up several hundred. Upset at myself, I was ready to call it a night so I played down the last few $ to my original bankroll but kept feeling good about the timing and hands I was getting dealt.
Watching Sweet C play her last money she gets dealt 5kind on DWB. I couldn't stand it and took out $200 to start again. First hand back was 25 hands of 5Kind DW, followed a few hands by quad deuces and again 4 deuces a few later. I began adding a hand to each new draw and playing that amount of hands until I have several no return of bet. This is a strategy I have sometimes found helpful in keeping my timing and about 7-8 hands later I caught a Royal holding 2 cards. As I continued to move up I caught another quad deuces and finally at about 40+ hands I caught a 4/RF and one Royal. Sweet C finished her last bankroll and I cashed out an $800 ticket and smiled my way back to the cashier. Money for our next trip.

Thanks gang, I'll try to post a couple of pictures from earlier trips but having download issues. One pic in particular is special because it was the first time in these years of playing that I recall being dealt 4D/A on DWB.

Great story. Don't you love it when it's raining deuces!
