I am a bit surprised that, since you had planned to play for a few hours, you didn't play some more, all the time relishing that $18000 head start.
Especially if the casino was a decent drive. It's nice to hit something big enough where you know for sure you're going home a winner. Doesn't happen enough!

It's a good question. I have had too many playing sessions where I was trying to climb out of a deep hole. It's not often that I'm playing from ahead, so this time I decided to enjoy the moment and leave knowing that I didn't give anything back. On another night, it could have played out differently. No regrets.

Great hit Mugrat I wish I had the will to play that much and then leave but I have to play to get it out of my system.

Do not give back a penny on any four figure hit. We're not professionals. We're rec. Don't wreck the memory.
And if it was a game worth playing before the hit, it's still worth playing.
Got it. In my case I would have played half and stashed the other half away so I could enjoy the moment for a while. It takes big cojones to be a professional video poker player.

Great hit not surprised it was dealt to you, like I said that's about the only way to get them these days at the higher denoms.

mugrat,
this just proves that you are not only an excellent skilled VP player by knowing which cards to hold but also incredibly smart.
