Never Changes...Free or Real Money...Neve

Post by jcs152112 »

Here it is the 22nd of the month and I am only 23,000 behind in the monthly contest. I am used to getting beat by 20K or so but that is after 30 days. In the 22 days I have played I have had 13 days with no 4oak. I quit Vegas because my luck sucked, I had a stroke, I'm broke, Obumbocare is Killing me, so I thought"let's have fun without losing money!" Not Fun.. I am quitting entirely. Video Poker is no longer fun, I am going to take up either watching paint dry or dandelions dying. I love the game, it hates me........

There is always free online craps. The original crap shoot went high tech.

I just played my 5 for today on the monthly, and 2 of those games I barely broke 300, and on the last 3, I barely broke 200, and that was on DDB. Hopefully the next round tomorrow will be better.

can you explain exactly why obumbocare is...."killing you"?   Seriously, I'd like to know.....I am taking some advice recently given by notes1, and putting some of my excess/extra energy and brainpower into a worthwhile cause, and this time it is healthcare in the USA.As long as we have an insurance industry motivated solely by profit acting as the driver of who gets what and when.....and as long as that industry retains the powerful lobby it has had since just after WWII, where it can literally "buy" senators and congressmen by offering them lucrative, post political career positions on "boards and councils" that pay high 6 figure "Salaries" for doing absolutely nothing....and as long as the federal government, with the tacit approval of BOTH political parties, continues to pay absurd amounts of money each year in Medicare outlays for a population that continues to get older and older, and fatter and fatter, and sicker and sicker (re: Obesity, Diabetes, lack of activity due to sedentary lifestyles due to the computerization of all aspects of life, Opiate addiction, and worst of all, cigarette smoking STILL claiming a significant portion of lives)....then I am afraid healthcare in the USA will never attain the level of quality and access that exist in other "free, western societies".Obamacare, aka "Affordable Care Act", has been exposed as a means to further enrich the already rich insurance industry....I will no tbe shocked when the Prez, his lovely wife, and probably the two daughters, somehow end up working in or for some HUUUUGGEE Insurance corporation making obscene bucks.    And the republicans are partly to blame for NOT coming up with at least SOMETHING to act as a viable alternative........you cannot simply whine and b*tch and moan about something and then offer ZERO alternative. So please sir, I am very interested to hear your tale of woe......

the ACA was passed in the middle of the night, without a single R supporter, by cutting deals with multiple D senators and we were told by nancy pelosi, you will know what is in it, after it was approved. DEMS are soley responsible for this bill. david gergen, who worked for both R and D presidents stated on CNN (i saw it) that it would be a huge mistake to pass such an enormous bill, without bi partisan support. dems did not care, they got what they wanted and the bill has been modified/delayed dozens of times, without a single vote from congress.  we were told this bill would eliminate the unisured, there are still tens of millions w/out coverage. deductibles and out of pocket costs are beyond the means of many americans.  medicare/medicaid and the VA programs are healthcare programs that have nothing to do with private insurance companies, and both are ripe with abuse, fraud and not financially viable going forward. insurance companies, by law, are required to payout a high percentage of all premiums received for claims. this effectively caps profits. if we had a single payor system, the federal government, would easily eat up additional costs with bloated salaries/pensions/expenses. just like the rest of government. want to dedicate yourself to something? there are 3 expensive areas for which costs are out of control, government, higher education and healthcare COSTS. there is enormous waste, fraud and abuse. do us all a favor, pick one and save us all some money.

A thousand times!1/2 of the co-ops that sprung up since Obamacare was forced down our throats have already gone belly up, including Nevada Co-Op, in which there were so many problems with anyway, and they only lasted 2 years. They say that they couldn't keep up with the costs as non-profit organization. What they failed to mention is that they were "top heavy" - many in upper management with low to mid six-figured salaries.

i failed to mention the ACA website. this will likely go down as the most expensive website ever created. not to mention the millions spent by many states to create their own websites, and eventually were disbanded. wasted money. if it were not the intent of much the media in this country to protect obama, to attempt to portray him as a successful president, these facts would be mentioned. if ACA were the creation of george bush, just imagine how the media would be treating it.

In 2009, before Obumbocare, my wife and I were paying a total of $475 a month for health insurance with $500 deductible. In 2013 at the time of my stroke, we were paying $2130 per month with $2000 deductible. She has since gone on Medicare, but my insurance is now $893 per month with a $6850 deductible and my medicine has gone from $85 a month to over $800 per month. The Affordable Care Act is phony. If it were so good, the politicians would not have exempted themselves from it. Many of the insurance companies no longer do business in Texas, with more leaving in the future. I had to change this year, because BCBS no longer does business with my hospital or my doctors. If I still had a house payment, my savings would be evaporated before long. I have copd as well so I am pretty much screwed. The last demo I voted for was Jimmy Carter and I ask God for fogiveness every day. The last comment about the media is the absolute truth. If George Bush was dancing in Venezuela and doing the wave with Castro in Cuba he would be lynched. (politically incorrect word) Time to play vp again and get off this subject. Thanks
