Best VP at Foxwoods and Mohegan?

Post by jeena »

I would like to know the best paytable VP machines at Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun because the only posts I find on-line about these two casinos and their machines are old posts from 2012 and older. I played at Mohegan Sun a couple of days ago, mainly on .25 and 1.00 WOF. I won $200, the guy on the machine next to me won over $200 and another guy played the dollar WOF, maximum bet $5.00, and he won over $600 on the first spin. Unfortunately, my players club card did not work in any machine I played, so I took the card to member services and was told my card was good, but the card readers need to be cleaned! I felt like leaving Mohegan when I learned I was getting screwed out of my points because they are not taking care of the machines. Anyway, any advice regarding VP
at the two Ct. casinos will be greatly appreciated!

Olds442jetaway is the king of the Mohegan Sun.  Actually, I think he must live there...  He knows exactly where the good games are and I'm sure he will chime in as soon as he reads this post.  A few years ago we made a visit and he walked us around and pointed out the better games.  He even threw in a couple of buffet tickets. What a guy!

The first or second billboard upon leaving AC is "Unlimited Possibilities Mohegan Sun." Possibilities are unlimited at any casino of course.

Don't they still have full pay 99.95% Pick'em? Had an hour to kill there a couple of years ago and got a quad on dollar Pick'em and wound up plus $700. That was 3 years ago.

When I was there the quarter machines with the better pay schedules had a tag on them stating they weren't eligible for comp points or something similar.   As I remember these games were in the 98-99% level.  I never checked out the higher denominations as I wasn't into it at the time.
Ah, the good old days.
I'm working my way up to Dancer's level so I can lose some real money.   Actually I read yesterday that Donald Trump said the stock market is a terrible place to invest, so I'm getting ready for the Apocalypse.

Sorry, I cannot answer for Foxwoods since I haven't been there in a couple of years. The paytables last time I checked were bad for the most part and I couldn't find any 99 percent quarter games. I may check again soon though.
Mohegan Sun is a different story and a bit complicated. Sorry, I don't know about the pickem paytable since I don't play that game. I will try and copy it down on my next trip.
All of the 99 percent games have a small white sign with black letters stating that this machine does not pay Momentum Dollars. I wouldn't worry too much about that since you need to cycle nearly 500 bucks through a vp machine up there on the bad paytable machines just to earn a point worth 1 casino dollar. The no points 99 percent games do however, pay status points good toward your tier status at about the same rate of 1 status point for every 500 bucks or so cycled through. You can't spend these. They are only good toward the tier status. To attain level 3 which I currently hold, you have to earn 1400 status points in a certain 6 month period. That means, you have to cycle through about 700k in 6 months to attain or keep that status. That is a ton of play.
Mohegan Sun has 3 separate casinos. Earth, sky, and wind. They also in the earth casino have a non smoking section in the Hall of Lost Tribes and in the Sky casino under the Turtle Dome. Just look for the little white signs as described above. They have those machines in all of the casinos and many of them at the quarter level. There are multiple game offerings in most if not all of them. Good luck. Fla Phil is almost correct about my living there. I book about a hundred rooms a year up there. Luckily, it is only an hour's drive from home. The staff is great for the most part, the restaurants are good, and the mall has some nice stores.
