Can someone please explain how to play AJ non-suited in 9/6 Bonus Poker Deluxe

It appears you hold only the jack, unless the hand contains a lower card suited with it, or an eight or nine.

It appears you hold only the jack, unless the hand contains a lower card suited with it, or an eight or nine.
But a lower suited card with the jack will happen frequently enough (nearly 75% of the time) that AJ off is the basic strategy play. Holding Jack only instead of AJoff is a "penalty exception".
