Game of Thrones anyone?

Post by DaBurglar »

Please tell me I am not the ONLY fan on this forum of the HBO Mega-series  GAME OF THRONES......This is the "Anything..." section of the forum so its okay to post about & admit your fondness for the show, as I just did........-- Ser Burglar

I have loved that show since it began. I watch each episode at least twice to pick up nuances and details I might have missed at first showing. I've not read any of the books and don't want to, so I won't be disappointed when the TV storyline deviates from the novels.

My husband knows the remote is mine on Sunday nights, whether it's GoT, Walking Dead or NFL.

Martin.....they are not needed to enjoy the show (especially now in season six  since the HBO show has lapped the books and is now charting its own story lines.)   I myself have read the first two books, A Game of thrones  and Clash of Kings....I got about 1/3 of the way thru the third book, A sword of Storms when I said "Screw this"......the guy's writing is really cumbersome.Anyway, if you saw last nights episode, Season 6 Episode 5 you no doubt saw one of the absolute BEST episodes in this show's history so far (and that is saying a lot!)     I cannot believe we are half done already with season 6 but I am also excited about what's coming up these next 5 episodes!    The death of Hodor (and the reveal of what "HODOR" actually means and why) made me cry, for real......I hope you were at least a little moved too.   Enjoy the rest of the season Buff!

Thanks I had it recorded and hadn't watched yet. oh give me a break....look, if that's true, I am a LITTLE sorry, but not much, simply because, within 2 hours of each episode airing, the internet literally BLOWS UP with people posting all kinds of stuff about it, to the point where if you really TRULY do not want to encounter any SPOILERS, you best not even go ONLINE until you actually watch the damn thing.Henceforth, you are warned Eduardo....My Posts are "Dark and full of Spoilers"!

No, just messing with you. I've never seen an episode.

I should have done one of these.

But you're right. The internet did blow up. I have no idea who hodor is but I did know he died before i read your post.

I hear that show has lots of boobies.

No one knows for certain he is dead. He should be, but people on magical missions have a way of cheating death.

Poor Hodor. It all makes sense now. I thought that last scene was brilliant. Maybe Bran can worg him to safety. In another storyline, I cannot wait to see what Sansa does to Ramsey! I hope it's as brutal as he deserves. I'm thinking his dogs are due for a good meal.

With all the awards and critical acclaim this show is getting and has received; I feel like I am missing out on a classic series.  But as I read the above replies, I'm reminded why when I see trailers and hear the story lines you describe; I don't have the stomach to watch and am quite a scardy cat.   Enjoy, guys.
