Even Steven
Made the trip to South Point today, thinking they'd have a multiple points day. They had a promo where 300 points get you a wheel spin.
Played quarter deuce on a Game King bank with a guy playing two machines at the speed of light. I've never seen a guy play two machines that quick.
I'm there five minutes when the lady next to me gets a Royal.
I'm not hitting much of anything. Twice dealt three 2s and end up with 4oak. Did hit two wild royals and one straight flush.
Get 600 points and am down $50. Go to the Wheel Spin and hit $50 in free play.
Cycle it through once and cash out for $55.
$2 tips for the two beers I enjoyed, and $3 for the valet.
I'm Even Steven.

Memorial Day was indeed a double points day, it seem to be rare for the SouthPoint to have it twice within a month for as long as I have been following that casino. I saw it on the SouthPoint Promotions website as well as during the commercial break during Gambling With An Edge (I do not tune into most of the episodes, just the commercials).
I wish I can teleport to the SouthPoint as I do not play enough to get a free stay during a national holiday.
There is a certain technique to play two machines, it takes time to master the hand-eye coordination. The person must have played with his and his spouse's Club card on the separate machines. Playing for quarters avoids jackpot prizes that exceed the W2G threshold of $1200, thus winning records do not need to be reported to the IRS despite the honor system in place and the net winnings are not subject to federal taxes. Also on double point days, it takes much longer for the slot attendants to process the many W2G payouts so it will be loss time as well. There would not be much of a reason for the person to play so quick on two machines if it was not a double point day, the casino management should have been suspicious too, been hearing they are revoking Club membership to net winners as of late.
Do not worry about how others did during your time there, most of this forum put a strong emphasis on the premium quad and royal flush jackpots, but what you did was well played out. Next time around might be the one hitting natural royals while others are on a dry spell. In the past Mr. Dancer mentioned losing $10,000 on DDB QQ, while others won thousands of dollars, but the final time he was allowed to play DDB QQ, he got a dealt 4 Aces with any 2, 3, 4 on a 10-line play.
You are doing good by even making the Southpoint one of your stomping grounds (not many people here even try to go despite the countless recommendations), keep it up.

I was passing through the Palms a few years back and a guy playing two machines caught my eye. He had one hand on each machine and had headphones on listing to what ever.He was playing both machines as fast as I can play a single machine. These were the full pay deuces wild games by the Flamingo Street door.

As proof that there is such a player who play two machines at once, there is at least one video on YouTube of someone playing at Red Rock.

There must be some technique to avoid carpal tunnel.

At first I thought it might be the same guy,but the guy at SP was a bit older and had a thicker beard. I think he might have been faster.
In some strange way, the guy reminded me of Keith Emerson.

I love how it went to a close up just as he got three deuces and wound up with a straight flush.
