I bounce between 2 casinos. Whichever sends the best mail is where I go. I give decent action when I go. After a few months of no action, good offers start to roll back in.

And people like Bob just do this on a larger scale in Vegas. This is a big part of being an "advantage player".
This is a big part of being an "advantage player".
So is coupon clipping, collecting mailers, scrounging freebees, waiting around for raffles, playing video poker until your hands are numb, risking huge losses on the whims of a slot machine, inhaling second hand smoke, ruining your health and your personal relationships.  Every profession has some bad things about it.  Sorry, I can't think of any "advantage" to being a professional video poker player.

The damn raffles always occur at the most inconvenient time. They start around when day players are ready to leave and plod on for hours thereafter. I cannot abide such inconvenience any longer. This is the culmination of months if "earning" entries, of course.
The damn raffles always occur at the most inconvenient time.
I agree.  I have been trying to take advantage of more raffles, but they all seem to be when I'm not there.   In order to make this work, you need to be able to "live" in the casino.  Might work for a professional, but I have a life to live outside of the casino.  The professional gambler deal is no cake walk.

Agreed. I have to get out in the real world and walk every session and get some real air. Also check in with family, get up and move etc. etc. etc. I'm afraid though, the second hand smoke is slowly killing all of us. The dirty greedy politicians in my state could force the no smoke hand if they wanted to as they have in bars and workplaces, yet they are afraid of losing the bucks. They might short term, but I think long term it would be fine revenue wise. I don't want to hear any BS either about Sovereign rights since the state already forces the tribes to follow hundreds of other rules and laws. They aren't thinking about people's health and long term costs to society at all in this area. Just talk to some of the workers in your casino. Most have some real horror health stories about co workers or family to tell. All smoke related.

Players must usually earn entries within a specific time window. If you don't keep track and dutifully write down when the far off raffle is, it's all a pointless endeavor anyway. I have had it with these sucker promotions. Live in LV and you can make it work. It's just white noise for the rest of us.
