Re: Dealt a Royal
Did they add in the extra $200 on the W2?

Yes, they did. I questioned that because the coupon said, "Bonus cash for jackpots" annd there were different "bonuses" depending on the amount of the JP. He just looked at me and said, "That's the way we do it."

I don't post very often, but thought I'd brag a little. Last night at The Eureka, I was again dealt a RF. This time on progressive DDB double nickels for $573. I was also dealt 4-3s & an ace on TDB quarters for $500,and to cap off the evening I was dealt 4 deuces on Loose Deuces for $625. Not bad as I was playing on their semi-monthly cash coupon. Total investment of my money =$0. Some days I'm the windshield, some days I'm the bug. (a lot of the latter)

OK, can I brag a little, too? Last month while in Las Vegas we drove out to Red Rock. I sat down next to my husband (the cooler, but that's another story), the machine offered a choice of games, so I selected bonus deuces. Right away, a couple of plays in I was dealt a flush. It had all the face cards for the royal. Instead of the ten (hearts) there was a five. I held the faces, dumped the five..and the ten of hearts came up! That's the first time ever I have gotten a rf on deuces. I think I love Red Rock casino.

Well only 16 days until my next trip to Vegas. This will be my second trip there this year. My previous two trips combined have produce positve returns (1 RF for $4,000 and 4 xDueces with Ace kicker for $2,000). Due to bankroll I alternate between .25 and $1.00, We will not discuss my previous 12 or so trips though. Never dealt a RF on initial hand but on second hand one time. Of all things it was on a cruise ship. I have many many times had a chance for a RF needing only 1 card to complete. I have never hit one in this instance. In total I have had 4 RF's, hopefully this trip produces a few more. T

I was dealt a royal with cheese once, on a dollar Joker machine... but it paid the same as a natural royal. Let me explain.Back in 2002, I had the very fortunate opportunity of spending two and a half weeks in Australia, on a business trip. A few months before my trip, I hit two progessive .25 royals in consecutive weeks at Pala Casino, in north county San Diego. (I was also dealt four aces and hit the kicker on one of those days, very nice.)So, I was kinda on a streak, in my mind. And I'll play vp anywhere. Anyhow, in Australia, they have video slots and like one video poker machine per bar. The locals call them "pokies." Every night after dinner, my work buddy and I would have cocktails, he'd smoke, and we'd "play the pokies." He'd play some golf themed multi line nickel video slot, the kind that are so popular now, and I'd find the one video poker machine. Now, all their video poker machines were Joker's Wild games. And you have to get a two pair in order to get your money back (instead of kings or better). I know, terrible. But, it was all they had (I hate slots) and quite honestly, thanks to hitting a few five a kinds, I was winning money. But the thing that really threw me was that a wild royal flush paid the exact same as a natural royal flush. I kept telling my buddy, "this is crazy, the wild joker royal back home is like 500 credits. This isn't right. He's like, "yeah, whatever."So the last night we're there, we go to the casino, the Star Casino I think it was called. And wouldn't you know it, I'm playing a dollar Joker machine and it deals me a royal with one joker in it. Five grand, Australian. Which at the time equaled $2500 American. So I basically got a free trip to Australia and came home with twenty five hundred bucks, tax free. It was awesome.sorry for the length, MRB

MRB, I think most of us love to hear stories like this one. No problem with the length.

I did not have a RF dealt to me this week end. However while playing a triple machine at the Horseshoe in Shreveport, LA all but the ace of Hearts were dealt to me. Held the 4 and my breath. The ace popped up on the top row. Was playing 15 quarters per row. Total $3.000. The fed and state taxes were about $1,000. Made my day. Later my hubby hit 4 aces on Super Aces playing fifty cents. Total $2,000. The holiday weekend turned out pretty nice. Most unusual.
