Hollywood Joliet Wednesday July 20, 2016

Post by Tedlark »

Stopped into Hollywood Joliet to play $310.00 in freeplay I had. I finished that off and was working on $500.00 of my own money, playing .50 denom 10 play TDB. I held AQ diamonds and filled in the 2k royal on the last hand. I practically sprinted out of there a minute after getting paid off.

Last Saturday I took a ride to Four Winds as I hadn't been there since February. I was playing .25 denom DreamCard 10 hand TDB and was down about 800 bucks when up popped: AAA_A on the deal. I held the A's and nailed 4 kickers for a very sweet $5,200.00 hand pay. About a half hour later I was dealt 4 to the royal and nailed 2 for another 2k hand pay. I caught 2 other royals, 1 for 1k and 1 for $400.00 plus I caught AWAK twice for 1k each time.

Been on a pretty nice roll lately. Good luck all.

WTG Ted! Very nice trip summary!

Not sure if you've played adequately enough at Hollywood Joliet to retain that much free play on your next visit. I wish we can get some of that fairy dust or magic on our sessions. Would be nice if you can get these pictures of your wonderful hits up so we can see them.

Well done!

I'll take some of that fairy dust, stopped in and played a bit of $1 DDB at The Roadhouse in Tunica, quit $1K down, not a single set of quads, on the way in stopped at Southland Gaming, quit $1K down, not a single set of quads. That rarely happens to me at The Roadhouse, I usually get decent play there, at Southland Gaming it's always been fire or ice for me.

Thanks ko and alpax. ko I've only made relatively infrequent visits to Tunica and I have not had too much luck at The Roadhouse. I enjoy the atmosphere at Hollywood Tunica even though the air quality is not that great.

alpax the only reason I've been stopping into Hollywood Joliet is because of the amount of bounce back play they've recently been sending me. It has worked to my favor in June and July, as long as I don't dip into my pocket too much that's fine with me. Last night I told myself that I was leaving at 9:00 pm no matter what, up or down. I hit the royal at exactly 8:59 pm, got paid off at 9:07 pm, and promptly left. I joked with the slot attendant who paid me off that I wanted to be out of there at 9:00 pm but I had a good reason to be delayed by a few minutes. I am disciplined enough to leave even when I am up like that.

I really need to get uploading pictures figured out as I have a few good ones to share with everyone here.

Good luck.

I have 5 freeplay offers for the month of July, they were in the amounts of: 1st - $160.00; 2nd - $210.00; 3rd - $210.00; 4th - $310.00; and, 5th - $310.00.

I have not used the 5th offer yet and I have no thoughts on why you may get different fsp offers than I do from Hollywood Joliet.

Hollywood Joliet also gave a bonus cash coupon early in the month of July, I redeemed mine on Friday July 8, 2016 and it was in the amount of $150.00 cash and I thought that was pretty good. I thought that was pretty good until I noticed that the guy ahead of me in line got $600.00 cash. Everyone is different I guess. Good luck to you.

$310.00 in freeplay, finished that and was working on

pay. I caught 2 other royals, $1,000 and $400 plus AWAK twice for $1,000 each time.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------So you left Four Winds up around five figures! Up $1,500 at jolly HJ. The huge bankroll sure paid off for you. My problem is cash flow. I cannot possibly capitalize such extravaganzas, nor play anything more exotic than the vanilla JOB. Congratulations.

Thanks FAA, I was playing out of my normal denomination comfort level both times but it paid off for me. At Four Winds I was playing .25 denom DreamCard so it was 25 bucks a pop when normally I'm at the .05 or .10 denom level. I did play DreamCard at .25 denom in Las Vegas but it was DDB and not TDB. Playing TDB .25 denom DreamCard at Four Winds was fun but you can get crushed QUICK if nothing hits.
