Re: Hollywood Joliet Wednesday July 20, 2016
Great hits Ted. Good things do seem to come in bunches. I wish I had that kind of free play at Mohegan. My average cycling through per session is 10k-20k and I only get offered fifteen bucks a few times a week. WTG at Hollywood

You're sure on top of things daffy but I don't mind sharing. My August fsp offers for Hollywood Joliet have dropped: 1 - $120.00; 2- $120.00; 3 - $120.00; 4 - $200.00.Total of $560.00 for the month of August.
This gives me more reason to go when it is convenient for me and not be a slave to the free play offers. I figured July would be the last month of relatively high free play offers and I took full advantage. Several years ago Hollywood Aurora cut my free play because I was using it to my advantage and I haven't been back there since.
Good luck to you.

Thanks ko and alpax. ko I've only made relatively infrequent visits to Tunica and I have not had too much luck at The Roadhouse. I enjoy the atmosphere at Hollywood Tunica even though the air quality is not that great.
alpax the only reason I've been stopping into Hollywood Joliet is because of the amount of bounce back play they've recently been sending me. It has worked to my favor in June and July, as long as I don't dip into my pocket too much that's fine with me. Last night I told myself that I was leaving at 9:00 pm no matter what, up or down. I hit the royal at exactly 8:59 pm, got paid off at 9:07 pm, and promptly left. I joked with the slot attendant who paid me off that I wanted to be out of there at 9:00 pm but I had a good reason to be delayed by a few minutes. I am disciplined enough to leave even when I am up like that.
I really need to get uploading pictures figured out as I have a few good ones to share with everyone here.
Good luck.
Not much reason to go out of your to attend any Tunica casinos anymore. The Horseshoe and Gold Strike still seem to be fairly healthy and continue to draw a decent crowd but the rest of the casinos are almost empty on weekdays. Southland Gaming took a big bite of Tunica's customer base and continues to nibble away at what they don't seem to be trying hard to keep. Southland Gaming has underwent 2 big expansions and still offer live dog races as well as simulcast wagering on both dogs and horses, I've been told a hotel is next up for them. Tunica should be used as the perfect example of what not to do when it comes to gaming, the casinos are spread out and there's nothing else to do in that area. There was a factory outlet mall but all the stores have shut down. I've been to Vegas, Laughlin and Reno, when we got tired of gambling we could find other things to do, when you're in Tunica it's gambling or nothing. I took the wife with me for a 3 day get away a while back during the week and we couldn't even find a live band playing anywhere except at Horseshoe, she wanted to dance but there wasn't a dance floor thankfully.

ko my only connection to the Tunica area is a sister of mine who lives in the Memphis area with her family and I will drive down to visit them once or twice a year.
The same Indian band that owns Four Winds has purchased land in the South Bend, IN area and they are making moves to locate a casino on that property. A hotel will be included and I can only imagine how well this place would do; considering that The University of Notre Dame is located nearby where the casino would be. Apparently there is no worry of losing customers from the New Buffalo, MI location either. It would be several years though until this new property would open but if it were anything like New Buffalo, it would be first class. And BIG.

Thx Ted. I am finding the same type of fsp response from Hollywood not only in Joliet but elsewhere and I agree with your statements about not being a slave to earn fsp because I truly have learned and experienced that that manipulate that at their discretion once they find out the player is using the fsp to their advantage

daffy I used the last of my July fsp to my favor this past Friday July 29, 2016 MUCH to my advantage.
I started out at my usual bank of 3/5/10 machines and they weren't hitting but were keeping my interest. There was however a 3/5 machine at the end of the row behind me that was hitting like crazy for the guy playing it; I witnessed him hitting 5 handpays in the stretch of about an hour and 2 of them were for 4k each.
I eventually crapped out all my freeplay and because the guy who was hitting, left that machine, I decided to hit the atm for a few bucks and try my luck. I started out by hitting quad 3's for $500.00. At this point I decided to throw caution to the wind and up it to $2.00 denomination and about 5 minutes later I was rewarded by hitting aces without a kicker for $1,600.00. Not wanting to destroy that nice hit I dropped back down to .25 denom and 3 hands later I hit AWAK for 1k. I then went back up to $2.00 denom and again hit aces without a kicker for another $1,600.00. I decided to drop to $1.00 denom and about 30 minutes later I caught 4's with a kicker for another 2k handpay. I ended the night about 30 minutes later after hitting 3's without a kicker for $400.00. I left for home tired but VERY happy. I was able to put my atm withdrawl back plus more and because my August fsp has dropped, I'll be taking a break from the casino for a while.
Good luck to you.
P.S. For those doubters, I have the W2-G's to prove it.
