Finally a nice hit at Mohegan Sun

Another thing amazed me at Foxwoods. Well, not really. I observed quite a few vp players there. I was actually looking for some of my Mohegan Sun buddies but none were there. Now I know why after looking at the vp paytables. However, All of the players I saw just sat down and started playing. None ever looked at a paytable and most just played whatever game was on the screen without checking to see if they wanted to change it or the denomination. Most players had no idea what they were doing and would do things like hold 3 to a flush in job and always go for inside straights. Now I know why the casinos get away with the lousy paytables there. Maybe it is just me, but the Mohegan players seem much more with it when it comes to checking the games or tables. What most miss though at Mohegan is the little white sign on the 99% games that says...this game does not pay momentum dollars...I still point that out to people who are clueless and get a kick out of them when they get up and leave. When I tell them that you have to cycle through 500 bucks to get one point worth a dollar to spend, they look at me like I am from outer space. Most think I meant you have to lose 500 bucks to get a point. I just give up and move on to my machine with those folks.

My favorite though that makes my day is when I tell the shriveled up chain smoking old ladies next to me with their card in and holding their cigarette at my eye level that their machine isn't paying any points they can spend. I love it when they get up and walk away off to torture some poor other player.

Back from a nice overnight with the Mrs., saw the Australian Pink Floyd show which was great, and had some nice chats with friends and employees. I just played the same 3 line spin poker all star machine for a dollar a line. The paytable was the same 98.8. This time the quad deuces came fairly late in the session, but several 5 aces hits kept me in the game and I ended up about even. I was fine with that.

I have another story to share that I didn't post yet because I had some family stuff to deal with as soon as I got home from that session. Anyway, by now many have read about the 18k hit I had on DDS recently. Well I hit for another 18k, but it was on the above all star machine playing bonus deuces wild. We had to cut our visit short and get home and I hadn't hit the quad deuces yet that day, but had hit 5 aces a couple of times. My 400 budget was about gone and I had to leave shortly. I had enough money left in the machine to bet the 3 lines I was playing at the machine max bet which was 15 bucks a line.   I CHOSE TO TAKE THAT CHANCE AND BELIEVE IT OR NOT WAS DEALT QUAD DEUCES WITH THE ACE SO I CAUGHT IT ON ALL 3 LINES GOOD FOR ANOTHER 18 GRAND. THEY PUT A RUSH ON THE PAYOUT FOR ME AND I TOOK THEIR CHECK AND RAN. This gets me even now for this year and last. What made me make the huge bet was a decent hit I had a hand or two before and somehow Fla Phil's potshots crossed my mind. Well, that is what happened when I took the shot. I just recently sent Phil the pic since I am too computer and photo dumb to post it myself and graciously, Phil said he would post the pic in the forum. Now the trick is to play with the least variance and be consistent the rest of the year. I am hoping the 3 line play will accomplish that.

There we go! Truly an amazing sight. The odds of happening are about as good as a dealt Royal, except 1/2 the prize. Still good.

18 is olds favorite number now?!?!?

Thanks Phil for helping out!
