Thanks Phil for the assistance again!
How does olds get something that pops up 1 in about every 54000 so soon? Congrats again!

But I feel like olds puts in a good amount of volume though. If he plays 2000 deals a day, thats only 27 days of play on average per occurrence. Nice hit olds!

I think Olds plays more VP than anyone currently on this forum. I am sure he will admit to being in a pot shot lucky streak at the moment. These things happen. I'm a believer in taking controlled pot shots, but it has to be measured and disciplined. If you're using a windfall profit to fund regular higher denomination play, that's not how it works. Luck happens, but it most likely doesn't stay around too long. I'm sure Olds knows that better than anyone.

Phil is right about short lived. Thanks again Phil. Last night's trip was a bust for both myself and the Mrs. Busted my budget of 500 playing the same way and the Mrs. too which was much smaller. Neither of us could hit even the smallest premium hands. I actually reserved another hundred for pot shots and that went too. I am guessing this pot shot streak is just about over, but time will tell. If anyone remembers, I lost about 100k in 2014 and 2015 mainly due to a lack of Royals coming in. I have a good chunk of that back now, but not all. I think I am back to just about the 2 percent loss range for 2014-2016 which would be just about right. These pot shot hits are just as bizarre as royalless streaks several times of 500k or more. It also seems the royalless streaks are back again. Up to about 100k hands without one. Sometimes, I think we all forget that vp is just not predictable no matter how closely we follow the math. I follow the math 99.9 percent of the time and only play hunches once in a great while, yet look at the swings in my results. I can easily see how someone who plays only 10 percent of the hands that I do would never hit a royal in their lifetime.
That said, got my fingers crossed on the tropical storm heading our way. I plan another overnight trip tonight to Mohegan, but will be close be in case I get a call about the storm. There are tripple status points today and I look forward to be able to hit a couple of achievement awards because of it. They would be good for a hundred bucks each in free play. Finally, on the above losing trip, at least the Mrs. and I had the best Yankee pot roast dinner we have ever had. My hats off to the new chef in the lounge. We also had a couple of pineapple Martinis getting ready now to close the summer. I am not looking forward to what is coming in the next few months.

This is how the hands played per session works out with strictly spin poker 3 lines at least for me. That is what I will be playing probably exclusively tonight on a 98.8 paytable....Figure 600 deals per hour x 3x 8 hours for the average session gives nearly 15000 hands per session. I know that is about right based on the status points I have been earning. That means about one occurrence every four sessions or so which seems to be about right. The odd part is the bigger hits have come just on the pot shots not on the regular play. The smaller premium hands keep me hanging in there except when they don't come in like Friday night. They the 500 bucks disappears and there is no way of stopping it on this type of game. If I remember, they have only busted me twice in the last couple of months, so if it continues at that rate, I certainly can't complain even without the pot shot big hits. For those who haven't tried it, you get a good shot at something with the 98.8 gave given you are playing 3 lines. If nothing else, you will probably hit 5 aces a few times, several wild royals, and several 5 of a kinds. That won't make you a winner in 8 hours, but it will keep you playing and hoping for a real royal , 4 deuces, or 4 deuces with the ace. Hitting any of those will or at least should make you a winner in that 8 hour time period assuming the smaller stuff has come along as it should too. I can't ever remember playing this way and not being even or better after hitting quad deuces. The exception would be on a Martingale play format where you might hit the quad deuces early with bet 1 and not later if your bets get much higher. I love playing a version of Martingale, but on a dollar game with 3 lines, it is just way too expensive for a 500 dollar budget. You would I think need about 5k even with a modified martingale. No guarantees even then. REMEMBER THERE ARE NO GUARANTEES IN VIDEO POKER EXCEPT HOPEFULLY, YOU WILL HAVE FUN PLAYING IT. Edited to fix a math error in hands played calculation.

Nice!!  Keep this up and you may get banned...Â
GUESS WHAT PHIL....YOU MAY BE CORRECT. LATELY, I HAVE BEEN PAID BY THE SUPERVISORS, GET A FROWN WHEN I ASK FOR A CHECK, AND EVEN MY FRIENDS AT THE CONCIERGE DESK, TELL ME THEY HAVE BANNED PLAYERS THERE BEFORE FOR WINNING TOO MUCH. I STILL THINK THIS IS A SHORT TERM FLUKE AND THEY ARE TAKING A WAIT AND SEE ATTITUDE. I WILL SAY THAT THE HIGHER UPS THAT I HAVE BY CHANCE CROSSED PATHS WITH LATELY, HAVEN'T BEEN QUITE AS CHATTY AND SMILING AS WHEN I WAS LOSING EVERY SESSION BETWEEN 500 AND 1500 BUCKS.

Quick post. Last night's overnight was another budget buster. No Royal, hand pays, and minimal small premium hand hits. Played some DDS, but mostly played the 98.8 spin machine. When they are cold, there is nothing you can do to turn them around. Played about 16k hands too. You would think I would have hit a quad deuce, but as we all know, there are no guarantees in vp. Finally, I saw no hand pays anywhere in the casino for the entire session. I remember the weeks I was hitting mine, others were also hitting all around me. Just coincidence? I hope so. Makes you wonder though.

I must say, if you had another triple digit plus win session, I would have kicked in my screen. Brutal week in AC. We will recover.

I am going to have to return to my more conservative ways pronto. Three budget busters in short order. I hear you too about a/c. I am going to put the pot shots on hold too. They gave me a run that I don't think will ever be repeated. Have you ever tried the following on job.....I tried, but mentally can't stick to it. It may work pretty well. You could practice it for free on this site or any job program. Start betting just a quarter. Anytime you hit a quad, cash out the ticket and start over betting just a quarter. If you lose 25 quarters, bet 2 quarters...If you lose the 12.50 from betting 2 quarters bet 3 and follow the same patters. If you get up to say 5 quarters and have to go home, on your next trip you will have to start where you left off. I can't handle the torture and lack of excitement from betting this way, but when I try it in practice, it works well. Anyway, hope the vp gremlins leave both of us alone for awhile again.
