You never know from week to week..............
Last week was an a$$ whooping! I started the week with 9 days of vacation and wanted to do some play. Was up $400 for the year going into that vacation. Here is how it went. 29th down $10031th down $5001st down $3002nd up $303rd up $1004th down $2005th down $400A beat down of $1370. Went back to work with the tail between my legs.I just want many readers of this post to see you have to play a whole lot to get the hits you see here. There are losses along the way. Many of you do not play VP a ton to see hits like this but just wanted to show that if you keep playing the hits will come. Now today's story. I meet my buddy for lunch and he has been telling me about this guy he works with that plays Keno. He plays these few numbers and hits a lot. The video poker was bad so I said give me the numbers. I played 7 numbers. After about 5 minuets, playing one quarter a hit, I hit the button took a bite of my Nacho looked back and saw my credits was $1800!Well I thought WOW no tax form then saw the light blinking rats! In very small print at the top I see $1750 hand pay! For twenty five cents unreal.Well now I got fire power! Playing $2.50 a hand I get dealt 4 three's in JOB and one don't hold after I hit draw. Well they come down look at cam say they can't see if it was held or not so have to go by what was on the machine. RATS! 15 credits instead of 125. MY BAD for a little fast play but I saw the hold above the card but we all know about bad buttons. So off for more play. I am playing Deuces when I get 4 to the royal, I have had well over 200 four to the royal this year without a hit. I thought just another miss at the 1 in 47 odds, but no I BEAT THE ODDS! A nice ride home up more then 3k!You never know from week to week whats going to happen.

Nice Hits! Great recovery from those down sessions, it is important to maintain as big of a bankroll as you can.

Bully for you Wildman, fantastic turn around. I was once at Four Winds and I had lost all but $200.00 of my gambling kick so I decided to try keno after seeing a man hit several times while playing it. Much to my amazement after playing for about 20 minutes I, just like you, hit a nice $2,350.00 jackpot. I went back to video poker for a while and, again like you, hit a royal.
I have given some thought to playing keno a bit more regularly and the guy who was playing told me that he used to play video poker but now keno was all he played. Some nice jackpots can be had for a 1 o2 2 quarter bet.
Congrats again.

Thanks guys, I do remember your post Ted on that Keno hit. I might give Keno more play but still love single line Poker. Have been playing some Triple play and really enjoy it but the single line pay tables are much better.

If you are thinking about putting in more time towards Keno, I would suggest you try Cleopatra or Caveman Kneo so that it can stretch your bankroll. What you tried was pure Keno in which is more top heavy on the 6/7 and 7/7 payouts. The odds for a 7/7 match is very similar odds to getting a Natural Royal Flush in video poker. As you've already well experienced the droughts of Royal Flush can get to a player's mind, so do not have expectations that 7/7 is an easy feat (but it is much easier than 8/8 for sure). 6/7 is like getting the 3rd quads of the day in video poker, but a player can go an entire day without one quad.
Usually the 4-spot and the 7-spot have the greatest returns (but not by much). Whatever you may do, enjoy your leisure time.

Congratulations on both. How long were you playing the DW machine before the RF?

LOL. I bet that was my buddy Joe - plays a lot of keno at 3 Winds (he lost a wind) and used to play a lot of VP.

What a lucky hit indeed. I have played Cleopatra and Caveman before. I need to look into the odds much more to see if its something I want to try more.
