Double Deuces
I've been on your run of the mill cold streak. I'm sure everyone has experienced such a streak. I've kept records of my casino visits and I'm down for the year. The laws of averages should come into play, assuming the VP Gods are shining down on you, at some point.
I finally get to my local casino (after a very busy summer) and noticed they removed the $10 Deuces Wild game. Now, you can only play $1 or $5 which is in my wheel house. Again, it's not like I play $10. It's more the fact they are moving towards either reducing the stakes or decreasing the payouts. This is a 99.73% game which is hard to find.
I dig in and start playing. After only 15 minutes or so I hit 4 deuces
Alright, I finally hit something to write home about. I waited the obligatory 20 minutes to get noticed and paid. At this amount, they lock the machine so I couldn't play and had to wait until they verified and paid me off. I give the girl a small tip and off she went. I got up and played some slots, lost a few bucks, and decided to hit a different video poker machine. After about an hour I hit it again.
That's 10k of winnings. I walked out with 8k in tack and in my pocket. That makes me nearly even for the year. I do play slots for fun. I don't break out my VP stats. I only keep session stats so I'm not sure if I'm up in slots or up in VP. It's nice being nearly even going into the fall. I have a vegas trip planned for early November so getting back to even is a blessing.
