The musical chair people.
Every few hands they switch chairs and play just the one machine--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I ran into a couple in their 50s like that last month. They were having an absolute ball next to me. I wanted to kill them both. The next time I'm getting killed and get obnoxious neighbors, I'm just going to lunch. If it's the afternoon, I'm going home. Life's too short.

It is always worse when you are losing and you get characters and I am being kind using that term. I have one more thing that I am sure you have all experienced that is maddening. On most of the vp machines, there is a correct and incorrect way for the slot techs to put things back and close the door when the machine has been opened. How about the slammers. Instead of learning things the right way, they just keep slamming the machine door in an attempt to clear it and get things to lock up and work properly. I mean slam it like 50 or 60 times before they either call someone or just give up and walk away. I seem to get one of them almost every session now. Sometimes the entire bank of machines will shake.
My last trip had play split between Mohegan and Foxwoods. Sure enough after I sat down and started to play at Foxwoods, I got one of them. He was only 2 machines away from where I was playing and I was losing to boot. I finally cashed out in disgust and took a walk. I came across a single 0 electronic roulette game. I knew I would be giving up about 2.7 percent, but that is what I gave up at the vp machine at Foxwoods anyway. I tried a mild Martingale with it and got the money back that I had lost in the vp machine. I then left and went back to Mohegan for the rest of the evening. My beautiful newly renovated room was there anyway on the 32nd floor. The rest of the Mohegan story for the trip has already been posted about and it turned out well. I may just start to consider playing a little single 0 roulette because the game moves pretty quickly unlike a table game. I started at bet 1 and the highest my bet got was bet 4 and I backed it down after that. Of course when I started playing it betting just red, there were 9 straight blacks. They were however followed by 8 straight reds and the single 0 never showed, so I made out Ok.

My Sunday overnight trip was much better. My game plan was about the same. Start with a little DDS on quarters, and if the night is going OK, switch late at night or early on Monday morning to dollars on the All Star game Bonus Deuces Wild. I went to a really good concert first and saw some of my old favorites...Fabian, Bobby Rydell, and Frankie Avalon. I hadn't heard Volare in a long time and it was music to my ears along with Venus.
After the concert, I stopped at the usual DDS quarter machine right near the concert exit. Started with my 20- free play and on the 3rd hand betting 5 quarters hit a Wild Royal good for 1000 quarters. I decided to reserve 50 bucks of this for pot shots and play with the rest for the session and see what happens.
Eventually, the DDS cooled off a little and I took a nice break to eat and take a long walk. I decided to catch a little sleep for a change and decided to get up early and play the dollar All Star machine. At this point, I still had 150 bucks of the 250 left and hadn't used any for pot shots. I also decided to give the quarter All Star game with poorer odds a shot first as I have done well on that machine several times before. Same game though Bonus Deuces Wild.
The short version is I hit a nice pot shot on the quarter All Star game playing 3 lines and hitting 4 Deuces with an Ace for a nice hand pay of 1407 Dollars. I am sending the pic to Phil, but really don't want him to waste his time posting it unless he wants to. I cashed out of that machine and did play the dollar one catching 5 Aces on all 3 lines once and a few more pretty good hits. Went home up 1800 bucks which makes up for most of the last few negative 500 buck sessions. All in all quite an enjoyable trip less the Mrs. who had a tough work week at school this week and just couldn't get away with me this time. Gave her a nice little green present when she got home from school though and a long hug because I missed her company so much the night before. OK enough of the mushy stuff. As the Mrs. constantly reminds me...you are not 18 anymore. I know, but better to feel that way than 90.

Congratulations. At $10.50 a spin, sometimes you play less than half the $25 a hand man who hit a $20,000 on TDB Sunday at Bally's AC. Both signing up a storm. You sure are practicing your penmanship up there.

He's posted more pics in the last month than Bob Dancer has in a lifetime.  Come to think of it, I've never seen one of his jackpots.  Sorry, couldn't resist...

I can grasp DW, but the bonus version is a little unsettling, especially at three lines. These jackpots make my head spin.

The 5400 hit is an older one from a few weeks ago. Probably sent to Phil by mistake from my junky little phone with the tiny screen. The other hit was a non pot shot one dealt 5 aces on the dollar machine with bet 1 and only paid 240 bucks for the 3 lines. That was still fine with me. The 5400 one may have been posted before I just can't remember. Anyway the bottom line is I had fun, caught up some from the prior 4 or 5 budget busting trips and to the next challenge Wed nite and Thrus morning. Edited to add....I found the post pic in this thread of the 5400 on Sept 4. Wish I had hit another one for 5400, but that is not the case. Doing my taxes this year is going to be a nightmare and very costly but better than than hitting nothing.

FAA, I wish you had in A/C the game like I have that pays 800/1 for the Royal only having to bet 1 at a time per line. Same on the quarter machine with slightly poorer odds. The way I play now is pretty simple. I hope to hit say 5 Aces which pays 80/1 and when I don't after losing 80 coins either quarters or dollars, I go to bet 2 per line. The home runs come in of course on the pot shots, but even without the pot shots, if you hit quad deuces, quad deuces with the Ace, or a Royal, you are ahead of the game nicely for the session. I couldn't play this way without the correct payout for the Royal betting 1 coin, or I would be miserable if it hit at a short coin payout rate. The nice thing about bonus deuces wild is you don't have to draw to a straight like in regular deuces wild since in the bonus game it only pays 1 for 1 for the straight. However, you are a guranteed loser for the session without one of the premium hands hitting at some point. At 98.8 percent, I am not giving up too much more than job which just destroys me on quadless and nearly full house void sessions. Without those 2 coming in as they should, on job, not counting the Royal, your goose is cooked on job that is for sure.
