Re: Massacre at Pechanga
Yep, YTD is the way to look at this. I started out 2016 in a big slump and am now slightly positive, + $1,500 due to 3 summer royals. Haven't been playing much lately, pretty comfortable right now, but I know I will get the itch soon.

Three RFs on the year would have me sitting pretty in the cozy catbird seat too! The fact they were all in the same quarter is all the more reason to relax. I've excised the naive enthusiasm that comes with going up a denom. Need a hit to wipe out my September beating.

Sucks to hear about the losses Ted. But a real massacre would have been losing the entire 5 grand and not just half of it!
Also how fast do you drive? At least from Pechanga, Vegas is roughly 4 hours for those who only mildly break the speed limit.

Vman if not for a couple hits near the end of my session it would have been close to the entire 5 grand. I was remembering the drive from Los Angeles to Las Vegas as being about 3 to 3 1/2 hours?

It depends totally on where your starting point is in L.A. From a decent starting point at a decent time of day, I can make it in 3.5 hours but that's movin' right along. But if you are in, like Santa Monica in traffic, you can use up the first hour of your drive just getting on the freeway.
Many years ago before CHP clamped down you could push 3 digits on the speedo most of the way and make it in 3 hours. No longer --- very expensive decision.

This is merely a speed bump given his record.

I've obviously lost $5,000 before but never was prepared to lose so much in a day. You never know what will happen, but the same thing winds up happening no matter the comfort level huh. Playing single line dollars is about the best I can hope to do anymore, let alone multi-hand. Better luck next time, but please be more honest about the titles. I don't like thinking there were casualties.
