Re: Guess the outcome
it's not that I don't like the place, it's the cigar smoke.
Yeah, it sucks. On Saturday playing next to a guy smoking a cigar next to his wife so all the smoke was going my way instead, I thought to myself that the machine should give me something good for dealing with this, right? Wrong.
I came so close to losing it, the guy was smoking the nastiest smelling fat cigar I had ever been around. The entire area was polluted with the stench. I controlled myself and kept the thoughts of how to handle the situation to myself, no doubt he would have been a jerk and I can be an even bigger one if pushed.

Went back, got a few hundred up and took a potshot at $2 denomination TDB, hoping to hit Aces w/kicker and caught a royal holding only 2 cards for $8K, that puts me up slightly for the year.

Good for you. My guess would have been they invoked the disclaimer on machines saying all play is cancelled in case of defective machine. Good job.

For an 8k payoff I'd manage to tolerate the cigar...

Hell, I'd light one up and probably make myself choke on the smoke for that!

I just wanted to bump this thread because there is a hot topic discussion for over a week on the vpfree bulletin board relating to this.
Without going into detail, a similar occurrence happened to a high stakes player at the high limit bar at the Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas, NV. The player held I believe 3 cards to the Royal Flush but right before the Draw button was pressed, one of the held cards became unheld and the first two cards from the draw would have completed the Royal Flush.
Unfortunately for this player, there was no happy ending like ko king had. The management did not pay the jackpot to the player and moreso the player was mistreated by Red Rock (I've read many reviews of how Stations LLC is the best casino to work for, what a revelation). Afterward, the player filed a complaint to the gaming commission, they did not side with the player and Stations put the player on the no-mail list.
The discussion is ongoing of what course of action the player should take.
Anyhow, the motive of this bump is to show this can happen anywhere. I know ko king brings up suspicion on multiple occasions about the Tunica region. I also know that bartop buttons may be in the worst shape due to spilled drinks, so becareful of playing on those. When I see a high potential deal, I usually use the touchscreen, such as dealt quads and straight flushes.
