Congratulations Carrie Nice Hot Streak

Post by Lucky Larry »

So while Sweet C and I continue to experience the laws of averaging out (you win - you lose) our daughter continues on her personal assault on the casinos. Carrie will play for hours at a time on a Spin Poker machine to build up comps and free play. Her latest target has been the year old Golden Nugget Lake Charles a beautiful Vegas quality casino. Their VP is minimal. No free play $ allowed on VP and $10/1 point, plus lower pay tables. GN has some outstanding free play for offers if you are willing to play their games. She is now receiving $250/day on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays she gets $200 for the new week.
Her luck has been incredible on the slots.
Nov. 12-13 $200 in bonus playing $5 slots paid her $634, then $1,236.
Later she caught 2 RF on 25¢ Spin.
Nov. 19 her first $100 on 10¢ Spin led to multiple RF for $800.
Dec. 4 after treating mom and dad to a nice steak dinner, she played her $200 and cashed out $275, went to a Quick Hit machine and put in $40 ticket and caught 8 QH for $3,340.
Showing us which machine she had played I started at the 25¢ level with $100 cashed $208; new $100 and cashed another $200. Moved to $5 slot she's played and made over $6K on I put in a $100 and hit for $724. Called it a day and headed home.

Proud of you Carrie. Keep up the hot streak and thanks for the wonderful dinner.

Nice!   Video poker is a great thing when you are winning.  I'm sure you told her about the bad times too.   I once emailed Bob Dancer to thank him after I won $14,000 in one day.  He replied  "Email me again in 10 years and tell me how you are doing."  He was right to tell me that...

She knows quite well the ebb and flow of wins and losses. It tis' much better to have the wins.

It sounds like the slot wins dwarfed the VP wins if I read it right. But glad they've been able to stick it to the Golden Nugget for that stupid policy.

As for that Dancer story, if that was really his entire email without some congratulatory remark before the 10 years comment, it doesn't matter if he was right or not, he comes off as a jerk. It's a good example of why he wasn't well-liked on this forum.

Sweet C and I were there when they opened thanks to our Host. GN matched other casinos tier cards so we came is a top tier. After a few months of receiving great comps but enduring poor we VP options(even with multiple G statements) we reduced our play. Wed take the $200 in cash and play $5 slots in $50 tickets and cash out any wins after 10 pulls. We used this cash to play VP. I even spend two occasions to talk to the VP Director and Marketing director during our Free Cruise voucher pick-up. They indicated the VP approach was part of the business plan. Aa of Jan 2017 my top tier will be gone. Loved the facilities, amenities, top quality restaurants, and atmosphere but were hard pressed to give up our 99% VP to play 97% and only 2 =100 play machines vs 6 at Coushatta.
