Re: I am so burned out
It's just boring, mindless. Maybe I'll take a month or two away. Wouldn't be so bad if I started with three stars, but that's a long hill to climb. I'm at 2.25, could add another for a referal if I had to, but still two to go. Seven stars luck is about the most likely compared to tops in daily or anything top 100 or better in the weekly. That wouldn't be so hard if others didn't play 400 rounds a week in it. They must really be hating themselves trying that thing so obsessed. Even with three I'd hate missing the twenty days in a row. They could make this all easier starting the clock over once the seven stars tourney began. All those hands afterward dont even count, wish they did.

What's the point in counting the hands played after 7 star status is reached? The hand count restarts at zero at the first of the month anyways.

I think I'm just going to take January off. If you play 20-30,000 hands a month, it changes from being fun to being torture. I've lost my ability to concentrate, remember what Im playing, just feel like I'm asleep while I'm doing this. Probably a bit depressed, the main reason, I'm not liking it. A lot going on. Maybe even February too and March.

Awww, so sorry Onenickel....Hope you feel better soon!
Take care.
Reminds me of an old quote...I think this is fitting...same principle.
When baseball is no longer fun, it's no longer a game." - Joe DiMaggio
Best of luck to you Onenickel...take care of yourself.

So yeah, gave it up and feel so much better. Missed a day, because I forgot, and it made it so much easier knowing I'd need 5,000 more hands for seven stars(won't even try). Getting more done, feels good. Funny how playing something for free was costing me so much money by taking my time and focus.

The skills test should be a snap for you, so that would be another step toward your third star. The Top Score of the Day isn't too hard to get, either. (at least it wasn't for me, but maybe I just got lucky) So with the referral you'd have the star.
Also don't forget about the 2X game of the month; with 1500 hands to go to 7 stars you'd only need 750 on whatever the 2X game is.
Plus, that extra star for 20 days of play is easy; you don't actually have to play any hands, if you just visit the contests page (or even the homepage, I think) it counts for the day. You can even do it on the phone.
I have noticed the contests seem to be a lot "harder" in terms of competition for top spots; there must be a lot more players these days.
I'm still working on getting a monthly contest achievement. I can't seem to break the 100 mark, and it's too easy to get behind; I'm already a few days behind and the month just started!

Does anyone have a clue what the top 100 monthly score is at the 100 spot? Thanks for the recommendations.

The average 100th score over the past 6 months was 81187. They were all clustered between 79xxx and 82xxx (with 30 day months being lower). I guess there's no way to tell what the current score is below 10, though. I imagine someone would calculate where during the month a person would be so far back that they're better off just bailing. I've already given up on this month, as I've fallen too many rounds behind.
