Notes, with all do respect, I could never live in Florida with the humidity, etc. To each his own but the desert southwest is for me. Maybe because I'm not a beach person.
i specifically mentioned that no place was perfect, there were pro and cons to any location. most folks i talk to who live on the east coast, prefer to stay on east coast. and, with all DUE respect, it is not like the desert does not offers it's own perils and challenges to live there.
But it is a dry heat..... except when it's 112 outside and that monsoon moisture comes rolling in. :o

Protest was a bust, local agitator was arrested with a few of his friends when they tried to block the AC Expressway. Local American Legion Riders protected a Veterans Monument.

Excuse me for pointing out that the results were NOT a "bust" but rather a victory for sanity and reason and rule of law.
The protesters have lost what fragment of common sense they were born with and are destroying their valid cause with violence and ridiculous demands.
Voters should remember this in November.

Edited to add: No criticism intended JM. I know your post is not supportive of their intentions.

Just stated my preference. No offense meant. Happy belated 4th.

True. However years ago I went to Vegas on a business trip in August. It was 108. Had a little free time and drove to Valley of Fire State Park and walked around to see the petroglyphs. When I got back to Northern Virginia and got off the plane, it was 90 with 90 percent humidity. Felt a lot worse then when I was trekking through the desert. BTW, it was 112 yesterday and was still able to take my daily walk at night (bottle of water of course) without swimming in sweat.

repeat again, no location is perfect. i walk nearly everyday, middle of the day, summertime it is often 90/90, and yeah, one gets a good sweat. that why GOD invented pools, showers, sprinklers, slip and slide, etc.

clearly, some people have a low tolerance for anything that does not suit them perfectly. others, adapt.

I’ve played golf in Arizona in July and have gone to some of the coldest football games in the Meadowlands. I’m a NYG fan, but the coldest game I was ever at was a Chicago Bears vs Jets game back in December 1985. It was the wind that day. Temp was in the low teens (not terrible) but 30 mph winds. Sorry I didn’t go to the Giants/Packers NFC championship game when it was brutally cold. That would have been a trip. Had a chance to go, but didn’t pull the trigger

I adapt
.

of course you do. it is the only way to survive marriage, kids, business challenges and life in general. nothing is perfect and the world gets smaller, if we don't adapt.

the headlines are full of folks, who could not adapt. think those protesters are adaptable? when these kids (and most of the protesters are white kids in adult bodies) were born, they were told they were special. so special that they would get an award just for showing up at something, 'participation awards'. they were pampered/spoiled, most never worked, didn't pay any taxes, didn't produce anything.....they just took. since their birth, they have live off the government and parents. they have not adapted to anything. they were/are too special to actually work to survive.

they think they are adaptable and generous, because they are willingly to give away or destroy things they did not make/produce/work for. because they have not done, created, worked for sh$t.

i feel sorry for the hard working, responsible young people, who are in no way to be mistaken for the takers/losers.

Most Black people I know are embarrassed by these chubby out of shape white kids that are really the privileged ones.
