Anyhow after a six hour session last week, with ears ringing and pretty much fed up, I thought it might be helpful to wear earplugs next time. Has anyone tried that, does it help or do they take away too much from the live casino experience?

So much noise
The casinos seem to put the loudest, most obnoxious games near video poker and I think it's on purpose to blow your concentration (Keno being amongst the worst).

Where I play, I rarely have a problem. Only gets annoying if caveman keno is on an adjacent machine.

I don’t wear them all the time, and I usually enjoy the general casino noise as part of the experience, but while playing VP I keep my Apple AirPods handy and use them when needed to drown out the louder slot or Keno machines that may be near, or the at times crappy music being piped in. I just listen to my own music and play away….

Boy I agree on the keno noise. Second only to button pounders.
Have mute setting on my hearing aids. Very handy.

I have tried the earplugs, but don’t prefer them. I enjoy the music, but at best 1/2 is IMO not real music and I am a huge Rock fan as well. What bothers me the most are the shrill screamers. Usually drunk that scream every time they win 25 cents on a regular slot machine. Thank God, we have been all non smoking at Mohegan Sun in Ct since Covid. I don’t think I will nor should I ever play in a smoke filled casino again!!

I wear earplugs. A lot of shrill screamers, even in the morning. The dopey slot games make way too much noise also.

Ditto! The worst I have heard is a screaming bird like a Hawk or Eagle. Don’t know which machine it is. Even a few of the VP machines are set to max volume and you can’t lower them.
