I'm revisiting this game because it really is a fun challenge. One thing that seems hard for some of my friends to grasp though is the value of a hand like three 10s being more valuable than three 2s in games like Bonus Poker Quickquads. A quad of deuces in Bonus poker usually pays 300 while Quad Tens pays something like 230 - 235 in the few places I have seen it. But with the rules of the game and the far greater number of possible combos to get that fourth 10 versus the fourth deuce, you like to see a deal of three 10s. But I haven't quite figured out if this holds true when you get games that payout 800 or 2000 for quad deuces with the pair of aces to give quick quads. I'd still tend to want the greater possibility afforded by a initial deal of three 10s.

I also should clarify I am talking about a 10 handed play version not a single hand version of QQ poker like you find on the old 5 Stars Poker machines. I have heard about 25 or 50 or 100 handed versions of QQ but have not actually played such games for real money.

If you have the Pro Option on this website, you can relatively quickly determine the EVs of the various Quick Quads games. For the default DDB game, the EV of trip tens is marginally better than that of trips twos, but lower than trip 3s or 4s. For the TB+ and TDB games, trips 2s' EV is considerably better than trip 10s.
You might be interested in the forum discussion way back in late 2007/early 2008, before Quick Quads had been in any casinos, when that set of games was first introduced on this website:

There are some other threads from that time where the famous shadowman of yesteryear was figuring out the correct plays and posting about his analysis before other software had been developed elsewhere as the forum members of that era put together how best to attack this game. The pay schedules were better then, as well. If you have the Custom Pay Table ability here, you can find some of those schedules on this site still. I imagine that these are less common currently in casinos.

Thank you for the input. Are you a professional like Mr Bob Dancer?
I may purchase The Pro Option you mentioned, I somehow missed that until I read your reply, even though it's right up top!
I am finding this website has many other things I missed up until now, I have just been focused on the fun of playing as well as reading the many many topics and posts here. I have to be careful not to eat up the whole day which I could easily do with such a excellent dynamic website. I did notice how far back the archives go for posts, a person could get lost reading and searching through the past, there's so much lol

Thanks, Karl. I think the term hobbyist is much more applicable to me than professional. Many years ago, when I discovered this website, I was intrigued with learning about the strategy and variety of video poker. And, for some reason, I have hung around. Best of luck to you and your pursuit of happiness in the new year.

Be able to sort fact from fiction in some of the posts. Don't get blinded by tales of Eldorado, betting sequences, betting patterns, and the like.Karl_EDT wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2024 4:34 amThank you for the input. Are you a professional like Mr Bob Dancer?

I've come to the recent conclusion that perhaps the single biggest challenge presented by QuickQuads is remembering to stop thinking like Quick Quads when you switchover to a different videopoker game!
I find myself going a little crazy when playing something like 10 handed Power House, or Extra Draw Frenzied Poker and automatically assessing each hand for Quick Quads. It probably seems dumb to all of you seasoned professionals/hobbyists; however, I am lousy at that game Power Stacks, I cannot seem to hit anything, but I did just have a session playing Power Stacks where I had a unreal number of either dealt Quick Quads or at least a optimal drawing hand for Quick Quads, such as 9-9-8-9-X or 7-7-7-4-x etc. Also of the many thousands of hands of Power Stacks I have now played here, I only have received 3 aces once.....
