We have done this type of trip many times. Usually, we were able to secure non stop (I assume that's what you mean by direct) flights both ways. This time, we were appalled that no non stop flights were available. I am glad to see that they have now been restored.

Orlando is just lovely this time of year. Or most any time.
The Bills win yesterday may have given you that winner's edge mentality so vital in Sin City.

On Saturday, we did play a little bit at Harrahs on the strip. The video poker offerings there are pretty awful. But, we did decide to play a 1c 100 line pretty crappy deuces wild bonus game for a while. Surprisingly, I came out plus $547 for the session, thanks to some quite nice deals. The first one was three deuces plus an ace. On the draw, I hit the four deuces with ace twice, plus many many wild royals and five aces, for about a total of about 10500 credits. There were two or three other times I was dealt three deuces, and totalled 7500 - 8500 credits on the draw. And, best of all, I was dealt five aces for a 40,000 credit bonanza. My wife was down $300, but a team plus on such a poor game was nice.
At the Tropicana Laughlin, where we now are, I had a pretty poor start to things on Sunday, with a $1200 loss on 50c 5 line bonus poker. And I followed that up with a $700 out of pocket loss yesterday, some on 50c 5 line bonus poker, and some on 25c 10 line deuces wild. My loss was actually $1300, but $600 of it was "free play", and not out of my wallet.
Today, the 50c 5 line bonus poker was cruel to me again, with a $800 loss. I switched to the 25c 10 line deuces wild game, and things finally turned around a bit. I hit the deuces three times, and thankfully, added in a $1000 royal, for a plus $1620 session. My wife is within a couple of hundred dollars of even for the trip, so things look a little less grim now.

Little victories don't seem like much but when added together, they can make a difference. Keep ringing up the little victories and hope for a few more royals. Good luck to you both.

We went back to play a little more on Tuesday afternoon, which turned out to be a good decision for me. We couldn't get on our preferred machines, so I played some single line $1 deuces wild. Early in the session I connected for four deuces, and ultimately, cashed out at plus $600.
Nothing too much happened on Wednesday. I hit just enough decent hands to finish up just over $100 after three hours or so of play on 5 line 50c bonus poker.
We wanted to finish off our Tropicana stay with more play Thursday morning on the multilines, but once again, couldn't get on them. We settled for single line $1 bonus poker, where I surprisingly hit a $4000 royal.
We left the Tropicana with me up for the trip about $3700. Unfortunately, my wife did not share my good fortune, and was down about $3900. Still, not too bad!
Our first day (Friday) at Four Queens did not go well, at all. I took a $1300 hit on 50 line 5c deuces wild bonus (not once was I dealt three deuces). My wife did a lot better than me for the day, down only a couple of hundred. We did play a bit of single line 25c bonus poker and JOB, with no significant damage.

Congrats on the Royal….overall it sounds a lot like my wife and I - we often offset each other, one of us up, one of us down… works out on balance. Have fun!
