In addition to the .25 8/5 BP, they also have it in .50(30-coin max.) Won't find it on IGT machines, though. Only on the new Bally machines.

To Jokergal,
I am listed as a newbie but I do have 15 years in playing video poker.  I wanted to respond to your question about indian casinos in the San Diego area.  I live in the Organge county area and have been frequenting the casinos in the San Diego area.  The casinos I have gone to the most are in the area of Pala casino.  In this area you have Pala, Pechanga, Pauma, Harrahs and Valley View.  I have played at all of them.  Not so much because they are a good deal but because they are easy to get to for a day trip or an over nighter.  It is true that these casinos are not a good gambling deal at all.  To start with they have little in comps in comparison to Vegas, they are very crowded during weekends and Holidays, their room rates are way over priced and their machines have poor pay schedules especially at the lower denominations such as quarters.  The following is my opinion only and is as follows.  I am  well trained in the respect that I have Dancer software and training.  I play close to 100% on the game I prefer which is Double Double.  I know that this is a poor game as games go but I play in the short term only and I like excitement.  So when I give my opinion it is with this game only.  First of all, the casinos I played most at initially were at Pala and Pechanga since about 1999.  This was way back when Pechanga was nothing but a tent.  Then came Pala in 2001.  I played at the both of these casinos approximately 15-20 times a year and have not hit a Royal.  Needless to say that I don't play at them very much anymore.   Valley View seems like it is very busy most of the time, too busy.  Harrahs is the best casino in the area regarding amenities and slot club.  Their video poker along with Pala have the worst schedules.  In my playing experience I have had little luck in Pechanga, Pala, and Harrahs.  Valley View I am not sure about because it is the farthest away and very busy so I have not played there as much either.  My results there have been negative as well.  This brings me to Pauma Casino.  This place is the least busy and the least known of all the casinos in this area. It is located between Pala and Harrahs along the Pala highway.  I started playing there a year or two ago.  My total results there are closer to even.  In the last two years ther I have hit 4 royals.  I have also hit aces with a kicker many times including twice on the same machine two times.  This is not a common occurrence for me.  I consider myself to have average luck so this is really good luck for me, even comparable to Vegas casinos like Fiesta Rancho and Fiesta Henderson my two personal favorites.
So in my opinion, and I put my money where my mouth is, in San Diego, my favorite place to play is Pauma Casino.  Good luck, I hope this helps,

I live close to Reno so in 35 minutes I can play all the standard casinos...never played in an Indian casino but I hear they have low pay tables on vp.

Re: Laughlin
I've had the best luck at the Pioneer and Flamingo. Been playing since
1984 when the Edgewater was three stories high. Pioneers machines
are getting old and the place is way too smokey, so I don't stay there
for long periods of time.

Like some of the others who have posted here, I have been to some of the indian casinos here in so. cal.  I have to agree with thier opinions about not being regulated like nevada casinos.  They have thier own regulations, and some federal regulations but not like nevada.  I really do not go too often as i would rather invest my money in nevada where i have a better chance of winning, or at least not losing my shirt like 99 times out of 100 in an indian casino.  You would be better off keeping your money for some trips to nevada instead of giving it to those cheating indians.

I agree, you're better off to save your money for a trip to Nevada. I live in Idaho and all we have is Indian Casinos. The video poker pay tables are terrible and no one seems to know what the payback is on the slots.
