MGM MLife Card Changes

Post by BillyJoe »

For those who frequent MGM Int'l casinos across the country, be aware of the following upcoming changes.

Effective October 1st, 2012, the rolling expiration date for tiers and Tier Credits will be replaced with one set expiration date per year - October 1. If you advance to a higher tier before that date, you'll enjoy those tier benefits for at least a year.  Express Comps earning will be limited to $5,000. NOIR members may earn up to $10,000 in Express Comps. NOIR advancement will be by invitation.

This will now be similar to the Total Rewards Program with Harrahs/Caesars.

All reward programs are going down the toliet.  What is amusing is how they like to make it sound exciting and wonderful when they take away comps and raise tiers.  My last visit to Harrahs I put in over 12,000 tier pts thats pretty much diamond status in 3 days and they wouldn't even comp a $140 steak dinner.

Well, if it wasn't for casino reward programs and winning golf merchandise certificates, I would have no clothes to wear and no toys to play with.

That play would make you Diamond on the spot, Chrome. Which Harrahs ?

Either you won a ton of money over those 3 days, or you were talking to the wrong host. Get to the host manager the next time something like that happens. Make sure that they understand that you have choices of where you choose to play.

Harrahs New Orleans, first two days were a dud but the last day I moved to High Limits and was one of those days you wish you could have every day so I was came out up for the trip.  And of course my host is never around or always off in New Orleans.  But I went through 2 on duty host and they both turned me down.  But I think my problem was I had almost 200$ in pts on my card so they wanted me to pick it up with my pts. My mistake I should have blown my points then asked for the comp.  Most Harrahs are pretty good on comps but New Orleans is always tough I guess beause they have no direct competion.  But in general the new TR program is worse than the old one and its just annoying how they try to make it sound so much better.

Well, Oct 1st has come and gone. In the MLife program, you will maintain your current status until 9/30/2013. Your tier credits were reset to zero. Any earned Express Rewards above the new caps ($10,000 for Noir) were retained, but you are unable to earn any new ones until you drop below that new cap level. Still cannot use those credits for retail.  NOIR will now be by invitation only. The rumor is it will take 2-3 million tier credits to be considered for NOIR on Oct 1 2013. It was formally 1 million.
