just a note, seneca niagra has recently removed all its full pay pick em machines 99.9531% or lowered the pay tables substancially.i know I know I cant spell!
When I was at Seneca Niagara earlier this week, I double checked the pick'ems.
Their pay tables have, indeed, been lowered, and, unfortunately, drastically so. The return for the amended pay table is a miserable 96.69%!

When I checked the machines, they were absolutely empty - not a person was playing them. Previously, they were usually 100% occupied.

I do hope that the "genius" who thought that increasing the casino's edge on this game by roughly 650% would add to the casino's bottom line has a tough time explaining to their boss why the income from the machines, albeit a low percentage, instead of increasing somewhat, has reduced to almost zero.

The 8/5 bonus poker is not really that bad. And, if you're feeling a bit frisky, you could try the single line 9/6 JOB in the high limit slot area ($5 or $10 denomination).

We made it in late last night. Checked in, walked casino decided to wait to play until next day. Liked what we saw of VP for me and reels for my wife. Now if only the machines are in the mood to pay out. I guess we will find out in the next couple of days.

They gave us nice corner suite on higher floor with nice view of the US / Canada border. You can see the spray from the top of Niagara falls. We are going to explore the US side of Niagara falls later today. Have to get a couple hours of play in so they won't throw us out of our suite.

Thanks for the good wishes AP. I don't know how much the host expects us to play but it takes forever to get a tier credit point here. We are used to playing at CET where $5 per TC Slots and $10 per TC VP. Here you have to run $170 / $340 to earn a point respectively. We finished day 1 only earning around 50 points which would be equivalent to earning close to 2000 tc's if we were playing at a CET property. I lost a couple of hundred dollars playing the 8-5 BP machines and my wife came close to even playing reels.

We would have played more but it is hard to find the time when you are trying to do other things beside gambling . We walked to Niagara Falls both to the part directly in front of the casino and to the part where you have to access by going on Goat Island. It was spectacular. Later we had comp tickets to a Fleetwood Mac cover band and afterwards we watched last half of LA - MIL MLB playoff game at their Advantage Lounge. BTW it was a pleasant surprise. Better than any of the CET lounges we have been to other than the ones in Atlantic City, Food and drinks were excellent.

Today they have a tour planned for us to the Canadian side of the falls. Hopefully today we will have more time to get more play in than we did yesterday.

Actually, the reward/point systems at CET and Seneca are quite similar. At CET, you earn reward credits, which can be used food or converted to slot play, and tier credits, which determine your card level. They are earned at the same rate, which varies depending upon location and type of play. The best rate for video poker is $10/point.

At Seneca, you earn player points, usable as comps, or convertible to slot play, and card tier points, which, like CET, determine your card level. The rate, as you have noted, is $350/point for video poker.

There is a big difference in the value of a point. At CET, a reward credit is worth only one cent, which makes the earn rate 0.1%. At Seneca, the point is worth $1, and its earn rate is 0.285%. Even though it takes a lot longer to earn a point at Seneca, the bottom line is that the system is more beneficial to the player.

You may not be aware that Seneca has a daily tier point bonus system similar, but better, than the one at CET. There are daily bonuses for 20, 30, 50 and 75 points. The bonuses are 20,60,150 and 300 respectively. It takes 2000 points annually to attain their top card. Without the bonuses, that would require a total coinin of $700,000, which is not too bad to get a top level card. But, you can reduce that total a lot if you make use of the bonuses.

As you mentioned, the Advantage Lounge is quite nice, and access to it is one of the major perks of having their top players card (both my wife and myself have one). We can each take a guest in with us.

I am curious as to who arranged the trip for you.
