We have never done the spa. Having done the Qua Spa at Caesar's Vegas, I am afraid we would be disappointed. Once you get to 7 star go to Vegas, stay at Caesar's and do the Qua Spa. It is awesome.

There are like 4 separate spas set to different temperatures. They also have several dry saunas and wet saunas. They even have what they call an arctic sauna where they literally have snowflakes falling inside. Best of all it is free for 7 stars and a guest. It is a definite must if you have any interest in going to Vegas.

I am with you on that, CC.I have yet to find a nicer spa. Love the Roman Baths for a nice, tranquil nap. That is one reason that I always stay in the Augustus Tower at Caesars LV. I just jump on the elevator and I am in the Spa...
Billyjoe, we are leaving to go to Vegas next Wednesday. I wanted to stay at Caesars but my wife outvoted me so we are going to stay at Paris. If we have time, we both plan on a trip to the Qua Spa. It sure is a lot more convenient to stay in Augustus Tower where you are only an elevator ride away.
BTW, are you close enough to drive to Lake Tahoe, or do you have to fly in like we do?

I take the nonstop from Chicago to Reno - then rent a car.Quick question about 7-Star status.  I do most of my gambling at local casinos (or tahoe) which have good VP.  I don't do a lot of gambling in Vegas since downgraded their VP - just some table games, so I've never received great comps in Vegas.  Will 7-stars give me an automatic free room in vegas?  Or will my Vegas play need to justify it?Thanks
My understanding is that you will have no problem getting a room in Vegas once you become 7 star. At your level of play you should be able to get one right now. Do you have an assigned host yet? If not ask for one. If you do, call your host in Tahoe and have them make the arrangements to Vegas for you.

chattycattty,

One more question for you -

Since you know your way around Caesars, what are your thoughts on the Augustus vs Octavius towers?  I have a choice to make on an upcoming trip.

Thanks

I don't know about CC, but I am partial to Augustus. Octavius is newer, but it's a long walk from everything. As mentioned, The Qua Spa is in the Augustus Tower also.

I have stayed in Paris, which is very nice, but I am still partial to Caesars. I am NOIR with MGM, along with 7Star at Caesars, so I like having Mirage and Bellagio right next door.

Have a great trip. I'll be in Vegas 4/9 through 4/14, so it looks like we will miss each other this time around.

And don't forget to watch your Reward Credits. Even as 7Stars, Vegas is beginning to do 'RCs first' for charges to your room BEFORE the host will look at your play/losses for any additional comps. Atlantic City has been doing that for years, and now it is spreading system-wide. I usually get Shell Gas Cards with my earned RCs before I check out, taking my RC balance down to near zero. They don't expire, and I haven't paid cash for gas in years..

I agree with Billyjoe for the reasons he mentioned. They have a new section known as NOBU. Never stayed there, do not know if it is available to be comped. Billyjoe or anyone looking in know anything about the NOBU rooms at Caesars?

We watch our RC's like a hawk before, during, and after. There have been numerous occasions over the years where points have been deducted incorrectly. We usually have to call someone and wait for them to research it and get back with us. Once they do the points are put back on and get a response such as "I do not know what happened."

I never thought of getting gas cards. If I understand you correctly, you are doing this to bring your RC balance down to zero before you check out, therefore not giving CET an excuse to use your RC's to pay for meals and thereby comping them for you.

If this is the case, can this be done at other CET properties as well that are stingy issuing food comps, and like Vegas properties want you to use your RC's to pay for them? And for the Shell cards, do they charge 2:1 or 1:1 against your RC's?

Thank you for bringing this idea up.

Yes, I have been up and down the "I don't know how that happened" road with CET several times. The latest was when they charged my AMEX card (after I stripped my RC balance)  for the limo back to the airport in Vegas. Host reversed, of course, but as a 7Star, why should I even have to check that?

Taking your RC's down, you do run the risk that if you had a great profit trip, or your play was really low, the host may be reluctantant to comp. If they get a little whiney with me, I just drop my MGM NOIR card on their desk. That usually quiets them down.

Yes, the down side of the gas cards is that it is 2:1, but it is still better than using your RCs to pay for something that the host would/should comp based on play.

I actually like the deal that I get as a NOIR from MGM properties, like Mirage in Vegas and The Beau Rivage in Biloxi. Flat folio credit for F&B (I have never used the whole amount) and the host comps all shows, limos and golf. The only thing that I have to use their Reward Dollars for (I have about $12k in the bank) is Spa treatments. That's a lot of massaging..

just curious.....why would you buy gas cards at 2:1 when, as a 7star, you can get freeplay/cash at 1.25:1

My car won't run on FreePlay...

Seriously, I usually figure to derive about 60% in cash from FreePlay, should I choose to cash out when I play it through. If I convert 50000 Reward Credits to FP, that will be $400 in FP as a 7Star. At my 60% return, I would net $240. I can buy $250 in gas cards (which don't expire in 12 seconds like FP ) for those same 50000 RCs.

It's also is a little uplifting to come back from a gaming trip with something, even if you bust out in the casino.
