Post by Doc Stiener »

Like playing keno when taking a break from poker, was wondering if anybody has any tips or strategys on the game or for that matter any places or sites that have any. Like alot of people I'd also like to see 20 card keno, kind of fun to play. Thanks again

Hey Doc,My wife loves to play Keno when she goes with me to LV.  A retired friend of ours showed us his method that he has used for years.Step 1:  Pick 12 numbers on the card.Step 2:  Group 2 numbers together with a circle.Step 3:  Group 3 of the remaining numbers together with a circle.Step 4:  Repeat step 3 with remaining numbers.Step 5:  Now Group together the 4 remaining numbers. Now that your card is ready to play take it to the cage and ask the cashier to play your card "All Ways" for a quarter per game for 20 games.  This is a $75 dollar bet and should take anywhere from 1.5 to 2 hours to complete.  There are 12 different ways to win in each of the games.  (1 way for each of the 4 groups individually; then 8 more ways from combining each group with each other all possible ways.)My wife got lucky and hit 8 numbers in one game her last time out.  Of those 8 numbers she was 2 for 2 in one group; 3 for 3 in one group and 3 for 4 in another group.  Translation  $668.75 winner.........!!!!It's fun for us to sit and watch for awhile.  Usually she'll buy a ticket just before bedtime and check the next morning.Good luck!PS...We prefer the live game at the casino rather than playing the automated one or the keno machines...

My wife and I too enjoy playing Keno on a break from VP.As a matter of fact our biggest wins in any casino have occurred playing keno.  Go figure. Her first win was in the "old" Rio coffee shop about 6am one morning with a 12 number $.50 per way ticket, for $26k+.  She hit 9 out of the 12 numbers. The bet is 1/12 - 3/8's - 3/4's for a total cost of $3.50.  With no suits available she had to wait until 8:30 to get paid.  They did the big check thing and put her picture up on the big sign out front for the weekend.  Didn't know they were gonna do that..............Big mistake.  We left with the cash before noon.  Too much attention from complete strangers wanting to touch her "luck" and "buddy can you spare a dime".Note:  Although we had a keno runner for a"live game", it was a computer generated draw.  Nowadays, we like the IGT 4 card keno, and have been blessed with some unbelievable hits. 10 out of 10 - $10k - 9 out of 10 for $36k+ . Also hit a IGT Super Keno in the Lightning Bolt mode, $2-  7 out of 7 for $26+I tried to post a pic but I apparently don't have enough pull here because..........Error
