Stations Casinos Bankruptcy

Post by gr8bowlr »

I heard a blurb on a Vegas radio station today that Stations Casinos might be getting ready to file a possible bankruptcy.  Don't know any specifics as I only heard it once and got no details.   Just thought you all would want to know.

Noooo! Not Stations! Some of my favorite places. What would that mean for all of us exactly?

The whole story is here in the Las Vegas Sun.

Boyd's made an offer to buy some of the Stations casinos a few weeks ago. It appears they think they will come out better from bankruptcy.

If anyone has some points there I suggest using them because they may disappear.

i feel there is a high likelyhood harrahs will file ch11 then convert to ch7 and since harrahs now only has garbage games do like i am staying at rio playing 10 dollars coin in 1 base point and than playing at palms fpdw i will be there from 4/9-4/12 using up my comp points. the sooner harrahs leaves this world the better ( hope for new buyer of properties to have playable games ) also laid of hosts will steal list and i expect many new offers

I doubt Harrahs or Stations will be bought. Most likely they will have their debt restructured and they will continue to operate. But, you never know.

stations might restructure its debt which is good they have good games; harrahs on the other hand was planning to sell off two or three properties once the went private equity, i feel harrahs will be liquidated its debt trades at 5c on the dollar. good riddence let others buy the properties and put in decent games i will work off the points and get the rooms while i can i will be there 4/9-4/12 at rio

While I feel similarly about Harrahs and NEVER play there, I can see how it was nice for gamblers around the country to have a network of casinos they can visit and use the points they earn locally.

It will be interesting to see what happens.

I couldn't think of why stations wouldn't sell off some of their properties to Boyd's given the market and limited buyers right now. They only wanted the north properties. Terrible Herbst group sold off their casinos but kept the slot routes so back to square one for them. Buying the Primm casinos for a large amount did them in. If they'd have only kept their original properties, they'd still be in business as casino owners. Harrahs and Tropicana are both on the chopping block. MGM is looking for buyers for both the Bellagio and Detroit MGM.

they used to have 9/6 job all over so E.V was 99.54 or .46% and assuming $100,000 coin in per year costs less then $450 per year for room comps and food comps gym use diamond room and flights to laughlin while my main play is places like palms with fpdw and live poker durring weekends. my game plan will be changing
