comps

Post by ravenbynight111 »

I belong to harrahs and get mail till i am blue in the face, from all harrahs properties in vegas.. Rooms food cash gifts. I have not been to vegas since last nov. We normally go to lake charles. (that will change) I get mail from all mgm proprties las vegas hiton. Funny story june 2006 i met some family out there and we went to green valley ranch got players cards, had some lunch played the slot and vp. I had to get to restroom and so I walked in to the high limit slots area put in a hundred in 5 dollar slot the waitress came over and asked if i needed anything and i ask here if they had a restroom, she pointed me in the right direction it was great. We I came out I put another hundred in the 5 dollar slot. Just a little bit of action get me mail outs from gvr and red rock free rooms ect. By the way the 200 I put in was about a30 dollars loss. Not bad since, 3 days of rooms and food will cost a lot more than 30.

Many casinos will dock your comp account for these free rooms when you go. I've heard many people complain when they can't get their food comped because their play on a trip did not cover the "free" room comp. Although this is not true in every casino it is something to keep in mind.

the Harrah's properties give the best comps comped rooms do not reduce your points 10,000 base points in a year or 4,000 base points in a day give you a diamond card. During this period of mergers they are being genorous with comps. The key is just to get diamond card to get comps and play 1 point per trip after that 1 point equals $10 coin in and play at full pay places after that. the best Harrah's machines are 25,15,9,4,4,3,2,1 deuces 98.91% 5 play quarters at rio or 2 9/6 jacks at Harrahs las vegas. the key is to get diamond card at least cost las vegas rooms have gotten expensive

As I said in another message I am looking at all the Reno casinos. It
is a challange to compare apples and oranges, but the casino that I
thought would be the best for me needs 10K coin in every day you play,
after 3 time of not 10K you loose your status. I can do 10K sometimes,
but I feel comfortable playing 5 quarters and that is a lot of time!
Another casino uses the accumulated total for a year as Harrahs
does, which I am happy with, but here is the problem. I mosly play
dueces wild. The 10K coin in casino has fp dueces wild and the other
one has NSUD is the one percent loss going to hurt a lot over time? I
could stay at Harrahs, but the best game is 8/5 bonus poker and who
knows how long that will last as the pay tables have slipped a lot in
just the year that I have been playing. A lot of things ot consider,
any thoughts?

You are definitely thinking along the right lines. Simply do the math. Estimate your total coin-in and then multiply by .01 for NSUD or .016 for BP. Compute the value of the comps and compare the two figures. Don't forget to factor in whatever you like and dislike about the two casinos when making your decision

I am not sure what the multipliers mean. If I did 5K coin in on a
particular day, would the theoretical difference be $30 less for BP for
a full days play? What is the multiplier for FP DW?

The mulitplier is the difference in return. 1%, or .01, is the difference between FPDW and NSUD. So, with $5K/day you should see $50/day difference between the two games. With FPDW vs. BP it would be .016*$5K or a total of $80/day. Of course, this is just an average across many trips. But, since it's all you have before the trip it does give you something to base your decision on.

Thank you very much, there is so much to consider in chosing the right
casino or casinos! It will take me awhile, but I will figure it out. I
am having a lot of fun along the way also.
